Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C. Leever’s first letter to her newest legacy author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his “vampire romances.” Though he’d expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Aregeneau tended to be oddly delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.

Where does Single White Vampire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Good book but I had to make myself listen past the first chapter. Narrator's voice is horrid.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No Way. Can't take that much of Jeffrey's 'voices'.

A recent legacy made Cassandra Palmer heir to the title of Pythia, the world's chief clairvoyant. It's a position that usually comes with years of training, but Cassie's circumstances are a little...unusual. Now she's stuck with a whopping amount of power that every vamp, fey, and mage in town wants to either monopolize or eradicate - and that she herself doesn't dare use.

    No one

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    No

    Any additional comments?

I listen to books 2-3 per week. This is THE worst book. I couldn't finish listening! Reviews said first book sucked (and they were spot on).

There is always a price to pay - so Darius warned her when she accepted a position with his traveling troupe. And gazing mesmerized at the merciless slash of his mouth, the implacable resolve on his face, the soulless emptiness of his black eyes, Tempest was afraid to ask what it was.

What did you like best about Dark Fire? What did you like least?

    I liked the story line
I HATED, HATED, can you hear me HATED the narrator. I wasted good money on this book. The Narrator once again can't pronounce the names, the race of beings, even simple words like believe (pronounced bleive) and Police becomes pleese. Better yet, she changes the names of the characters - (forgets I think) It's horrible!!! I didn't even get through part 1 and i removed this from my player. What a waste of money and time.

What could Christine Feehan have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

GO BACK TO THE NARRATOR YOU USED ON THE UNCUT VERSION OF THE FIRST NOVEL!!! Abby Craden did an awesome job, pronunciation, passion, emphasis. She set the stage for the book. This narrator S NOU C K S

Did Rebecca Cook do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

NO - phony, mispronounced, horrid job.

Was Dark Fire worth the listening time?

    Sadly NO

The stranger silently summoned her from across the continents, across the seas. He whispered of eternal torment, of endless hunger, of dark, dangerous desires. Somehow, American surgeon, Shea O'Halloran could feel his anguish, sense his haunting aloneness, and she ached to heal him, to heal herself.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

no, too much hesitation, mispronunciation and shuffling of paper...
Book 1 - Jacques (sexy name) this narrator - Jock (yech),
Book 1 - 'Car PAY Theans' this narrator - Car PATH eans
Book 1 - GreGORi (sexy again) this narrator - GREgory (plain)
Need new narrator or at least bring this one up to speed by having her listen to book 1!
    STOP shuffling pages in Background.

How could the performance have been better?

    different narrator.

Bold and charming, he’s dallied with many women, yet none as mysterious as the lass he steals a kiss from at king’s court. Little does he know this beauty is one of his clan’s greatest enemies.

    Judy says: "I Love Tristan!"
    "Good book - but"

The narrator spoke so quickly it was hard to comprehend sometimes and required playback to catch phrases. Overlal Good book though.

Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as "soda is liquid Satan" and "you are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin", it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations.

Joseph says: "Good book, good research. Hard for some to follow."
"Absolutely the WORST book I've EVER listened to"
    Overall

If you want to hear exaggerated (IMO) stories of tortured animals to coerce you to become a vegetarian/vegan..... it'll probably be great for you. Having someone constantly swear is a plus if you want to hear this book... In my opinion, a TOTAL waste of funds.
