The storyline was captivating with surprising twists, which kept me glued to the book until the very last word. I can't wait to read the entire series!
It took a bit to get adjusted to the narrator's tempo as the story and mind of the protagonist were extremely fast paced. I felt my mind wasn't keeping up at first. (If you've ever seen the British series "IT Crowd" you will find Don of The Rosie Project to be much like Moss on the show.) However, after re-listening to the first few chapters I got into the flow of the book and caught all the subtleties that I had missed the first time. The story was delightful and I couldn't wait to find out if the methodical and nerdy geneticist found his perfect match in the end.
The story was heartwarming, but not over the top. The characters were likeable, especially the four-legged one named Maddie. I found myself wanting to spend more time with my own dog.
