I liked that the characters were deeply developed and believable. I had forgotten the fears and dreams through a young girls eyes.
This was the first book that I had read (listened to) by Karen Kingsbury and enjoyed her writing very much. She has a style similar to another one of my favorite authors, Francine Rivers.
I liked having 5 narrators. I would have liked to have the their voices a little more distictive or recognizable. A few times this caused confusion. One of the female narrators was not good, but I couldn't say which one, because I didn't know her name. The male voices were awesome!
I cried when someone else was chosen for the leads girlfriend. That must have been very hard for the producer/dad.
I loved this book. I love that Kingsbury was able to conviegh a beautiful Christian message in a sweet believeable story.....Just PUSH.....Pray Until Something Happens!
Francine Rivers fills in the gaps of the Biblical story while stiring in an imaginative never told love story.
I appreciated the depths of honesty that Rivers expresses in the human flaw of not being able to forgive oneself.
The narration was good.
The Heart of Bathsheba
Prisoners may enjoy this book.
The narration was good.
The only redeeming quality is that writter found some remorse from her actions. She never fully expressed the damage and turmoil her actions caused others, let alone the cost to American taxpayers.
It was difficult to warm up to this book. With 25+ characters lacking adequate personality or background, the only person one could relate to was Piper Kerman. Although she testifies of her miserable experiences in prison, it sounds more like CLUBFED to me.
Hearing Kristin tell the stories in her own voice, just made this book tops!
Francinse Rivers stories always tug at my heart. Hearing of a time gone by and looking at our current pagan world, makes me feel that there is hope for us yet.
I enjoyed hearing the boldness of the man sent by God. He was so bold and brave.
I listened to this book while doing laundry, cleaning house and going to the gym. I kept giggling out loud. My husband never could figure out what I was up to.
History, customs, suspense, excitement are just a few of the emotions Francine Rivers takes you though on this journey. Real to life emotions and actions keep the story believable and interesting. I enjoyed all three books of the series and "As Sure as the Dawn" brought closure to the story. Thank you Francine. You are excellent at "feeding the flock!"
There are several twists and turns that kept this story interesting.
I loved Richard Ferrone's reading.
Marcus was the most interesting character. This entire book and it's characters are interesting because of its history and the similarity it has with our culture today.
I can't wait to read (hear) the last book of the series. Francine Rivers is an excellent writter.
Historical, Biblical, Entertaining
Romans didn't win every war
I enjoyed this book, although it was much longer than I had expected.
