The book was just not interesting. I may try and finish it at a later date, I've read about 70% of the book and it's not getting any better. Right now I've put it down and I'm starting to read something else
Patricia Floyd is a very good narrator (one of the best)
My first time reading this author, I don't know if I'll read any more of her books
Words that did not require a dictionary or not having to wait until the whole sentence or paragraph was read to know exactly what the author was talking about.
Did not finish the book
Did not finish the book.
Started out great, became repetitious and boring. I don't chose to complete the book and I'm only half way finished, I keep listening hoping it well get better but it hasn't.
The Man in 3B
I didn't finish the book, so I don'tknow
If I could have known what happened to the children as thay became adults. Like the baby by Lawrence, what became of her. It's as if all were crazy and had several problems. To me it seemed like the book was abridged and not unabridged.
None of scene was very memorable for me, usually I can remember the characters names but about the only name I remember is Hattie.
I really don't remember to many scenes, maybe the one when Hattie left with the baby
Probably not. I had a hard time getting into her book Mind Your Own Business and an even harder time trying to get into this book, I probably will not finish this book.
Maybe but not too soon.
Corey Allen speaks in a monotone voice which makes it hard to listen to him. Actually his reading is one of the reasons that the book was so boring.
None that I can see.
There are way to many key characters (Adam, Ace, Judge, Kiesha, Sterling, Diane, Quintin, Candance, Abernathy, Joyce, Zavier, Bianaca, Bobby, Chardonay her two kids, Shala, Malcom, Cooper, Jeff, Tousan, Marcus, Marietta, Booker, Zoe, Evelyn) just to name a few. It was too hard trying to keep up with all of the different characters.
Slow start. The story got better towards the end.
Don't have a favorite
He speaks in monotone, no character distinguish.
I don't think so
The book was a very slow read and it didn't really have a good ending. Also the ending did not make me believe that there would be a sequeal. What really happened with the Mother?
The Otherside of Goodness
Yes, she is an excellent narrator
Not for me
Yes, it's a sequeal to White Lines which was really a good book
Yes, it's a sequeal to White Lines
The life of an addict
Yes and no, it had a horrible ending.
There will probably be a sequeal, but if you did not read White Lines you would not have known about Sunny's past. It's as if the writer just ran out of words to say or the story line was forgotten. It didn't leave me with any type of closure for Sunny, Jada or any of the other characters.
Thanks for the sequeal, the first book Standing at the Scratch Line left you wondering what happened to Tramaine and Serena. I hope that there will be a third book.
This is the second best book that I have ever read. Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon was the first.
