Pink is as interesting a speaker as he is an author. This lecture was very interesting and takes The World is Flat to the next level. Though I didn't read A Whole New Mind, after listing to this lecture, I would be interested in hearing Pink in person.
I also stopped listening about an hour or so into this book. To me, the basic premise of seeing the world as "half full" and thinking optimistically are words to live by. However, the notion that all those who perished in the Holocaust harbored caustic thoughts and brought about their own deaths is something that I cannot buy into. Additionally, the New Testament references didn’t add any value.
I am so glad I listened to this book rather than read it. With Liz narrating, I felt like I was there alongside her during this incredible journey. Liz opened my eyes to the powers of meditation. I feel like I grew as a person with her. A must read for anyone open to exploring new countries, cultures, religions, and ideas.
I kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing materialized. The storyline was flat. The narrator, on the other hand, did a wonderful job.
