What did you love best about House of Many Ways?

I think the best thing about this story is that though it serves as a continuation of Howls Moving Castle, which in its own right is awesome, it also introduces some fun new characters and some awesomely evil new characters as well. Now why this wasn't made into a movie is appaling

What was one of the most memorable moments of House of Many Ways?

I think it was when Charmain realizes that she is in a room full of lubbockins

What about Jenny Sterlin’s performance did you like?

Here is the thing about Jenny Sterling, though her voices may not vary much, it is the patient and calm way that she reads a story that makes you want to listen again and again and again. I LOVE Jenny Sterlings readings

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Their eyes hold their secrets

Things have never been easy for Oscar, a sweet but disastrously overweight, lovesick Dominican ghetto nerd. Oscar dreams of becoming the Dominican J. R. R. Tolkien and, most of all, of finding love. But he may never get what he wants, thanks to the Fuku: the curse that has haunted Oscar's family for generations, dooming them to prison, torture, tragic accidents, and, above all, ill-starred love. Oscar, still waiting for his first kiss, is just its most recent victim.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao to be better than the print version?

Okay, firstly this is a double edged question. As much as I love audiobooks for its convenience, there really isn't anything like sitting back and losing yourself in a great book. I enjoyed this book from purchasing and reading the book myself that I figured why not listen to the book at work. So I would say it has equal enjoyment.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao?

Oscar's decision to be with ........

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Beli whipping the Gangster's ass

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't think I can read this book or listen to this book without my heart bleeding for Oscar, but yes there were some definite memorable hysterical moments.

    Any additional comments?

I love Junot Diaz's style and format for writing. The way he incorporates each of the lives of each family member to show how it has that final impact on the main character was perfect. Truly a masterpiece.

In 19th-century England, Kate and her sister Emily return to the family estate after their father dies. There, under the guardianship of a distant uncle, they live in a small lodge with two great-aunts. One evening while out late and unable to find their way home, they encounter a nest of goblins. Clare Dunkle unites the human realm and the underworld of the goblin in a fascinating and exciting tale.

What did you love best about The Hollow Kingdom?

First the narrator was perfect in her diction, her inflections, she really, really made me feel as if I were actually in the story. And as for the author, she definitely has not only a way with words but her humorous side definitely shows through her characters. I can't say that there was anything about this book that I did not like.

What did you like best about this story?

    Everything

    Which scene was your favorite?

Kate's struggle to overcome Marek in the manor

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Kate rushes back to Marek

For centuries, mystical creatures of all description were gathered to a hidden refuge called Fablehaven to prevent their extinction. The sanctuary survives today as one of the last strongholds of true magic in a cynical world. Enchanting? Absolutely. Exciting? You bet. Safe? Well, actually, quite the opposite... Kendra and her brother Seth have no idea their grandfather is the current caretaker of Fablehaven.

What did you love best about Fablehaven, Book 1?

I rather enjoyed the climax of the story; up until that point found the story boring. Took a couple of tries to finish the listen.

Would you be willing to try another one of E. B. Stevens’s performances?

    Not likely

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It took multiple goes at this one book. However, I did enjoy the storyline.

    Any additional comments?

Had the author realized his intended audience, he may also realize that his word usage was inappropriate.
