  • Exposed: The Secret Life of Jodi Arias

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 37 mins)
    • By Jane Velez-Mitchell
    • Narrated By Elizabeth White
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

On June 9, 2008, the butchered body of Travis Alexander was found in his Mesa, Arizona, home. The grisly nature of his death made instant headlines: With 29 knife wounds, his throat slit, and a gunshot to the head, Travis was left to die. The prime suspect in the case was Alexander's ex-girlfriend, the attractive and soft-spoken Jodi Arias. Though Arias initially said that she was nowhere near the scene of crime, little about this case was as it seemed, and before long she had been caught lying to police. As the investigation progressed, her lies evolved multiple times before finally resting on an appalling claim: She had killed Travis in self-defense.

Amazon Customer says: "A Biased view of Jodi Arias"
    "Totally Captivating !!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Exposed to be better than the print version?

This book is amazing.. I literally could not stop listening.. Jane did an incredible job of making the listener/reader feel as though you really knew both Jodi and Travis.. The narrator is perfect for this book.. her voice inflection and tones keep you on the edge of your seat.. At times it's like the characters are actually speaking.. A++++

Who was your favorite character and why?

The entire book and characters were perfect .. I loved the Jodi and Juan Martinez

What does Elizabeth White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is incredibly talented and a perfect narrator ..

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely !!

    Any additional comments?

I plan on listening to the entire book again..

Where does The World's Most Bizarre Murders rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

If you're looking for a no nonsense, to the point true crime will enjoy this book..

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I see several reviews had a negative opinion of the narrator.. I loved his accent and his dialect made the book very interesting... He did however mispronounce several words..

    Any additional comments?

Overall, it was a great quick read and Drew Campbell's voice kept me continuing to the next chapter..

Included are details of groundbreaking advances in crime detection, law enforcement, and forensic science. This is the top-secret report on the most grisly, and unusual, criminal activity of our time.

Sires says: "True Crime for the Beach or Vacation Reader"
    "dull dull dull"
What would have made The Mammoth Book of Bizarre Crimes better?

Read by a British narrator.. jumps all over the place 1900, then 2010, then 1850..etc..too many European crimes and the narrator's voice is incredibly dull..skip this one..

How could the performance have been better?

Different narrator, more stories from the US..
