This book went on forever full of incredibly boring passages and ponderous sections that brought very little to the actual mystery. I found it very unrealistic and was very glad when it finally was over and I could listen to something interesting.
I have read several Nelson DeMille books and found them enjoyable and usually with a good plot line. This one had none; it went on and on describing things that really had nothing to do with the story as thought the author was trying to stretch it out. Bottom line is that the there is a bad guy around and eventually the good guys win. I thought it would never end. Boring!
An incredible story written by David Cullen who was a reporter on scene at the time of the tragedy helped by the passage of ten years. The narration is excellent and it provide enormous insights into the story of Columbine and its aftermath. Highly recommend.
A book that should be read or listened to by everyone. As usual Friedman does a comprehensive and thorough examination of the world's energy and global warming crisis and has profound recommendations to provide us. His book is a bit long and he tends to be very repetitive. The narration was not good, a very slow and ponderous speaker. I kept saying to my IPOD, "SPEED IT UP"!
This is a heavy bit of reading (listening) to deal with; it's very heavy on philosophy and religon. If you are looking for a "self-help" book, this is NOT it. I got through about an hour then called it quits.
This book is an absolute bore. I did listen to the entire story because I hoped it might get better, but it really did not. No real suspense, very unbelievable events and the narration....yikes! It was laughable hearing a female narrator trying to speak like a male.....and it was totally phony. My first time with a Dean Koontz novel and probably my last...
Well, not quite; can't turn an audio tape, but this is a fascinating and true story of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge and the men who undertook it. McCullough is a magnificent writer. An amazing story and amazing men.
A very engrossing story---typical of Stephen King, but very, very long and at times a bit tedious. I was disappointed in the narration....too much of a monologue. But it did keep me spell bound...can't wait to see the movie with Jack Nicholson.
