I loved the whole series. If you like Nora Roberts you will love this one. I was a little bit disappointed there wasn't a mystery involved, but it was good.

Dark. Sexy. Epic. 'I can't lose her.' Those are the words that haunt me, the phrase that repeats in an endless loop in my mind. Images from my past collide with the present until I can no longer tell them apart. I try to hold onto what's real - hold onto her - Avery, but death is looming and it seems that no matter what I do, I can't save her.

The first book was still the best but this was an excellent follow up and I loved the conclusion. The author did a wonderful job keeping you guessing right up until the end. This was an incredible story and more than worth the credit! I look forward to listening to more by this author and narrators that did a wonderful job telling this incredible story!

I had this book in my wish list for the longest time. I just kept thinking it was way too deep for me from what I read in others reviews. Maybe even a little too sappy. I didn't want to read something that would just depress me and this seemed to be way too depressing. I was totally wrong, granted it has many sad and very deep parts to it, but the author found the perfect mix of laughter and tears. This was an incredible story I am so glad I finally listened. More than worth the credit!

I loved this series! I am so dissapointed to see it end! I am excited to read more by this author, hope Audible will have more by her soon. This is probably the best series I have read since 50 Shades and I would highly recommend it. Not that it has the hot steamy sex scenes of that book, but great story and love story. Definitely worth the credit!!!

“I’ve spent most of my life trying to make it to a future that still hasn’t happened, or avoid a past that won’t let me go. I don’t remember when I’ve ever just stopped to live in the present, to hold on to the seconds I’m in.”Emma Thomas’s struggle with an abusive home life came to a heart-pounding conclusion in the final chapters of Reason to Breathe, the first installment of The Breathing Series — Rebecca’s Donovan’s bestselling romantic thriller (USA Today). Now her secret life has been exposed, and her tormentor can’t hurt her anymore. Yet, some are still haunted by that night. The bruises may have faded, but scars and fears remain. How will she reclaim her life when she’s barely breathing?

So I was a little down at the end of book one that the mystery/thriller part of the series was over, but to my surprise, there is more to come! This series seems to get better and better. I can't wait to find out how it all ends, but, I will be heartbroken when it is over. DEFINITELY worth a credit!!!

In the affluent town of Weslyn, Connecticut, where most people worry about what to be seen in and who to be seen with, Emma Thomas would rather not be seen at all. She’s more concerned with feigning perfection - pulling down her sleeves to conceal the bruises, not wanting anyone to know how far from perfect her life truly is. Without expecting it, she finds love. It challenges her to recognize her own worth - at the risk of revealing the terrible secret she’s desperate to hide.

I loved this series! I originally avoided it because it sounded too sad and dramatic. Don't get me wrong, it is incredibly sad at points, and at points I was crying my eyes out. However, it had happy uplifting parts and though it may not seem there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It has everything I love, romance, friendship, mystery and a bit of a Thriller! I would recommend this to anyone, definitely worth a credit!!!!

I liked the story, I liked the story a lot. However, I was terribly disappointed in the narrator, the female one at least. Her voice reminded me of a little girl, it made it really hard to get into the great hot steamy parts. All in all I still enjoyed it but that narrator should only narrate children's books, not a realistic adult book.
