  • A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity: A Memoir

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 14 mins)
    • By Bill O'Reilly
    • Narrated By Bill O'Reilly
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

One day in 1957, in the third-grade classroom of St. Brigid's parochial school, an exasperated Sister Mary Lurana bent over a restless young William O'Reilly and said, "William, you are a bold, fresh piece of humanity." Little did she know that she was, early in his career as a troublemaker, defining the essence of Bill O'Reilly and providing him with the title of his brash and entertaining issues-based memoir.

James says: "Avid Reader Explains Bold Fresh is a must Listen"
    "Totally True"

I was aware of Bill's opinions but was very impressed with how true his writing turned out. I think that everybody has had a kind of similar experience in their lives, but not as extensive of a Bill's or as clearly described. Certainly, some of us have had more difficulty in discovering the meaning behind all of our experiences but it is true that experience is the best teacher for some things. I found the book to be very entertaining and informative and hope to implement some of the lessons into my own live, even though mine is a long way into it and even closer to the end than I would like to admit.

    "Different Perspective"

I always thought of myself as a person that was different, but clearly this is an example of how different someone else can be. I thought that it was quite entertaining and it was obvious that he was too blinded by his own feelings about the relationship to know that it was over between them.

  • Going Rogue: An American Life

    • ABRIDGED (7 hrs and 17 mins)
    • By Sarah Palin
    • Narrated By Sarah Palin

In this eagerly anticipated memoir, Palin paints an intimate portrait of growing up in the wilds of Alaska; meeting her lifelong love; her decision to enter politics; the importance of faith and family; and the unique joys and trials of life as a high-profile working mother. She also opens up for the first time about the 2008 presidential race, providing a rare, mom's-eye view of high-stakes national politics - from patriots dedicated to "Country First" to slick politicos bent on winning at any cost.

"Perfect Example of a Hockey Mom"

This was just like being in the same room with her and being there for her experiences. I like her more now that she has shown that she is just like she presents herself on TV. Her hockey mom persona is a perfect description of how much her life is as ordinary as anyone else. I was impressed by her attitude and am going to try to emulate it to improve myself even more. Overall it was a great experience listening to her story.
