J.M. Barrie's classic tale, completely unabridged, features a boy who refuses to grow up, Tinker Bell the fairy, and the Darling children: Wendy, John, and Michael. Their great adventure begins on the night that Peter flies into the Darling home looking for his shadow and teaches Wendy, John, and Michael how to fly with him back to Neverland, where adventures happen every day.

    "A terrific story, well read"
    Overall

Like many, this book is much different and better than the Disney version that the kids were familiar with. The book is wonderful for kids (ours are 6 and 9), but also sneaks in some great lines just for the adults. And the narration by Tim Curry is outstanding - he really makes the book. We didn't listen to any other version, but I can't imagine a better narrator. Buy this.

Father is missing! His top-secret job as a physicist for the government has taken him away, but where? And how? Meg and her younger brother, Charles Wallace, set out with their friend Calvin on an exciting adventure through time and space to search for him. With the help of the mysterious Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, the youngsters learn to expect the unexpected as they move in the fifth dimension known as the "tesseract."

    "Shows the importance of narrator"
    Overall

A wonderful story, ruined by a poor narrator. We've found that good narration makes a huge difference, and listening to the author narrating proved so grating and unpleasant that we didn't finish the story.
