An ordinary parking lot in southern California. Christine Scavello and her six-year-old son are accosted by a strange old woman. "I know who you are," the woman snaps at the boy. "I know what you are." A scream, a threat - and then a grotesque act of violence. Suddenly Christine's pride and joy, her only son, is targeted by a group of religious fanatics. They've branded him the Antichrist. They want to kill him. And they are everywhere.

What would have made The Servants of Twilight better?

There are dozens of narraor's better than Angela Dawe whose voice caused me to stop listening after about 1/2 hour

Has The Servants of Twilight turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not at all, but I will not purchase any future books narrated by Angela Dawe

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The tenor of her voice is like scraping fingernails n a blackboard

What character would you cut from The Servants of Twilight?

Stopping listening because of Angela Dawe' narration

    Any additional comments?

Every so often great authors select terrible narrators l. . . this is such a case I am dissapointed that I am unable to listen to the story and since I am legally blind I can't actually read te book.

In The Wind Through the Keyhole, Stephen King has returned to the rich landscape of Mid-World. This story within a story within a story finds Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, in his early days during the guilt-ridden year following his mother’s death. Sent by his father to investigate evidence of a murderous shape-shifter, a "skin-man", Roland takes charge of Bill Streeter, a brave but terrified boy who is the sole surviving witness to the beast’s most recent slaughter.

Amazon Customer says: "An exceptional story, but I miss George Guidall."
    "Great author, horible narrator."

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I could not recommend this books as an audio book with Kind's narration. I have macular degeneration and have no choice but audio books; if you have a choice buy the printed version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Roland as in the other Dark Tower books

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Stephen King?

George Guidall; Craig Wasson; Armand Schultz; Nick Sullivan; Ron McLarty; Simon Vance to name just a few.

Do you think The Wind Through the Keyhole needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not if Stephen King is the Narrator

    Any additional comments?

Rerecord the book with a professional narrator
