Another good book by Joel C Rosenberg. A good mix of what is happening today with Bible prophecy and history. A good follow up to the Tehran initiative and the 12th Imam.

Is it possible that there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future? That this mystery lies behind everything from 9/11 to the collapse of the global economy? That ancient harbingers of judgment are now manifesting in America? That God is sending America a prophetic message of what is yet to come? Before its end as a nation, there appeared in ancient Israel nine specific warnings and omens of national destruction - these same Nine Harbingers are now manifesting in America with profound ramifications.

Interesting perspective on the events of 9/11 and what we have done as a country since and prior to. While it is a possible that this could be the case (see headline). God hasn't acted in this way before. Usually he is consistent and acts in a way more like he has in the past, however this book does provide an interesting thought to ponder.

America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse in the near future. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

This book provided a look at what would happen should our country as we know it has the system that keeps it as it is fail.It is an interesting perspective of what would become of us should this happen. Also, it provides some thought provoking preparedness that could take place to make yourself ready for a scenario of this type. In some ways the scenario matches the Zombie features I've seen. I don't think either of those scenarios will play out but interesting to ponder and think about what could happen.

What if the Antichrist has already been revealed? The first book in a gripping new series by best-selling authors Sigmund Brouwer and Hank Hanegraaff explores the lives of Christians who struggle to survive and spread the Gospel during the climactic turbulence of "the last days". With the enemy seeking to decipher the code of John's letter, Revelation, and destroy the church, believers must cling to the hope that Revelation provides as they face the greatest of all persecutions.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. However, I would warn that there is some language and sexual content. Not a book for children. It is a wonderful listen though.

What was one of the most memorable moments of 11-22-63?

There are many and I hate to give a way plot. The concept of selling things taken from the past in the present was something I didn't think of. I always have thought about going back not bringing forward.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to list. If I had to pick one I guess it would be the attempt to stop the Kennedy assassination.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

If you could travel back to stop the Kennedy assassination, would you do it?

    Any additional comments?

This was a great listen many hours of enjoyable audio keeping you on the edge of your seat!

The world is on the brink of disaster. Iran has just conducted its first atomic weapons test. Millions of Muslims around the world are convinced their messiah — known as the Twelfth Imam — has arrived on earth. Israeli leaders fear Tehran, under the Twelfth Imam’s spell, will soon launch a nuclear attack that could bring about a second Holocaust and the annihilation of Israel.

Would you listen to The Tehran Initiative again? Why?

Yes it was a good story. Kept you going from start to finish. Might not prove as interesting if you haven't read the 12th Imam but probably could stand up on its own. I love how Rosenberg is able to make a story of this type and is able to almost predict tomorrows headlines. Really great Book. The Narrator is also very skilled as well. Tells the story well.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Tehran Initiative?

There are many. I'm afraid to give away story line. So many situations that are a mix of faith and technology and intrigue that I will not say more.

What does Christopher Lane bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He was able to create characters with his voice that I might not have created with my mind. The accents and nuances might have been missed by me had I read it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I would have to say it is the conclusion to the 12th Imam. If you saw the 12th Imam you must see this. The middle east jumps to life in this book.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was a good listen. Time well spent is debatable. I think it was an interesting story but I would question some of the ways the author attributes things to demons rather than people but it did make for interesting fiction.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Angels were my favorite Characters. They provided a different insight into what was going on than what I might have looking at the situation.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes the pace was fine.

Was This Present Darkness worth the listening time?

It was a good listen. I have listened to many other books that I felt were more valuable listens but it was good.

    Any additional comments?

The audio quality on this was not as good as most of the other books I have downloaded from Audible.

Most personal and organizational problems are the result of a little-known problem called "self-deception". We deceive ourselves into thinking we're doing the right thing for the right reason, but people won't follow a leader whose motives are selfish. The tricky thing is, we don't know that our motivation is flawed.

What did you love best about Leadership and Self-Deception?

It was an easy listen. I really enjoyed the performance as well as the story.

What did you like best about this story?

The story was very applicable to life at work, at home or any situation.

What does William Dufris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He created characters with voices that might not be there if I read it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was something that is kind of a page turner.I could listen all at one sitting if I had the time to do so. Most of the time I don't.

What other book might you compare The Twelfth Imam to and why?

Other Joel C Rosenberg novels, Left Behind Series, Dan Brown Novels.

No but books don't generally effect me in this way. It was very thought provoking as well as a page turner. I was hooked until it finished.
