I feel like I found a Christmas present I forgot to open in December. This was non-stop action, a very cool plot, and a superb reader. If you liked Indiana Jones and his adventures, you'll love this one. Killing Nazis, traveling the world, and saving the planet Earth. Color me impressed!!
dives right in
North Korea is an enigma, sheds light on structure of government
This is a fast-paced, non-stop action read. Clancey would be proud.
The first book was quirky enough to interest me. I found this one a rehash of the first book with different characters introduced and the third book is just tedious. Don't bother.
This is another in a long line of recent get the Muslim terrorists, but with great courtroom drama to go along with it. Well-paced action with everyone's favorite target, politicians.
One can read many comparisons to our current administration in this book and I think it's pretty deliberate but that makes it that much enjoyable! Narrator also does a great job handling many characters with ease.
I hesitated to purchase this book because I thought Clancy's recent novels were getting a little mundane. I'm glad I got this one because it's one of Clancy's better ones in a long time. Fast paced, great plot, and lots of action. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I always grab every Burke book that comes out, knowing I won't be disappointed, but this one caught me by surprise. This turned out to be an incredible journey back in time to the 30's & 40's, to the dust-bowl era through WWII and the boom afterwards with characters that Burke brings to life reminiscent of Faulkner. And with Will Patton voicing the book, you don't just listen, you become emotionally involved. I won't forget this book.
Stephen King didn't rely on anything supernatural in this book, which I think is a first. But he does a masterful job in showing the real terror that can be inflicted from the mind of a psychopath. This book will have you rooting for the good guys, a total unlikely bunch of misfits, but also give you unique insight into the mind of a killer. This is a great, edge-of-your-seat story that will keep you listening until the wee hours. And no one delivers better than Will Patton.
If you have been looking for the vacuum left by Vince Flynn and his Mitch Rapp, this book will leave you feeling that void has been filled. A non-stop action packed book with great characters, including an amazing war-dog, you won't be able to put this one down. Extremely well researched, this book also delves into obscure locations along with a blur between fact and fiction with its scientific premises. If you like this book as much as I did you'll want to also read Rollins' Sigma Series in order. You won't be disappointed!!
uninteresting premise, followed by a predictable outcome with a boring reader. Skip this one.
I was somewhat reluctant to buy a book from 1980, but I was familiar with Stuart Woods and his Stone Barrington series and thought this would be a typical light, fun, read but I was blown by the depth of this book. Reminded my of To Kill a Mockingbird and In the Heat of the Night. This was a generational murder mystery wrapped loosely around an in-depth story of the Deep South in the 20's to the 60's. Wonderfully woven and emotionally charged, this book will have you reading to the wee hours.
Keeps you guessing until the very end. Intricately woven plot with great action and a great reader!
