For 5,000 years she has fought and evaded the Ragnarok race on Earth, just waiting for her people to return. A human woman, Kate, joins her fight, showing as much conviction and valor as any Valkyrie. With a career, a boyfriend, and a loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the reckless young woman who delivered a suitcase of drug money 10 years ago. But that past has caught up with her. Convicted and sentenced to 15 months at the infamous federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, the well-heeled Smith College alumna is now inmate #11187-424 - one of the millions of women who disappear "down the rabbit hole" of the American penal system.

If you could sum up Orange is the New Black in three words, what would they be?

The life of Piper Kerman going from drug/money runner to spending a year at Danbury women's prison was a griping story that kept you on your toes. Piper describes her ordeal to a tea with so much detail. You get a real sense of what it would be like to be in prison. She gives you the good and the bad of surviving her time with the other inmates and the prison system.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Orange is the New Black?

It was when she first got to prison and how she coped.
