The Google Resume is the only book available on how to win a coveted spot at Google, Microsoft, Apple, or other top tech firms. Gayle Laakmann McDowell worked in Google Engineering for three years, where she served on the hiring committee and interviewed over 120 candidates. She interned for Microsoft and Apple, and interviewed with and received offers from 10 tech firms. If you’re a student, you’ll learn what to study and how to prepare while in school, as well as what career paths to consider.

    Story
Would you try another book from Gayle Laakmann McDowell and/or Vanessa Hart?

I would try another book by this author. I will NOT listen to another book by this narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

The Google Resume provides practical advice on preparing a resume to target technology companies...it was exactly what I expected it to be.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator repeatedly paused in the middle of sentences and overemphasized unimportant words...all in a distractingly raspy voice. I could not listen for more than a few minutes at a time.
