I really enjoy the John Wells character and the stories. This was particularly timely and the story had enough twisted turns to keep anyone's attention.
I've only listen to four of Daniels audiobooks and enjoyed all of them – guess it's time for me to finish the series!
This book is a quick listen, finding myself listening to it every chance I had. If you wonder how you would react and some crazy situation – this book can give you the background.
I like the main characters dynamic and how the dad tried to hold this family together in the absolute chaos.
Great narrator – I could visualize each character easily with his performance.
I listen to it too quickly to have anyone moment. It seems that every 30 minutes something new and crazy was taking place.
Sure it's long, the character development seems unnecessary at times, I was surprised by the jolt to the future and I still have 8 hours to go. Not your "normal" audiobook, but I like it! Don't set expectations, don't suppose what will or should happen, rather sit back and let yourself be entertained. A lot of these characters are quite worthy. If you enjoyed, The Talisman Series, Koontz Frankenstein, the Seven Suns or The Enders series-YOU"LL LOVE IT!
Similar to Prey, State of Fear, but a little different. The way he presented the true facts was unusual and tying it all together was predictable. I am no scientist or literary pro and I liked the book and you will too, if you want to be entertained and the subject matter will get you thinking and is a great conversation starter.
I've listened to all the other Koontz books and really enjoyed them. This was good and I squeezed in time to finish. I enjoyed watching the world through the eyes of someone changing, unlike others I enjoy the unabridged works. Definitely worth the credit but read the others! I'm still waiting to be surprised at the end like odd thomas.
If tou dig character development, you'' like this. The twists and turns were unexpected, for the most part. While the ending is good, these authors need to find other less perdictable ways to finish a great story, which I wish hadn't ended.
A long book, but I like unabridged. The book takes you down a long road and the scenery is good on both sides, but not always good. I think listening to books should be entertaining and involves meeting new people doing new things and sometimes the same things others have done. This book keeps you guessing til the end, there are a few good twists that make listening to a book over a couple of weeks a pleasure. GO FOR IT!
