Jumping around in themes and chronology, I had a hard time following this one. Seems to assume you know quite a lot about European history already, so dont start learinng the region with this one.,,and a strange theme for the last chapter to end on.
The history of Hitler's activity and the start of WWII were a bonus in this great personal history of Churchill. The sequence and details of Winston Churchill were just right, no too sweeping or too detailed, and nice exposure to Parliment, his speeches and oneliners.
I really enjoyed this, and how it brings these big historical decisions, events and meetings down to very personal experiences.
Very interesting, with lots of examples to highlighting the smaller, flatter worls. It is not the other side of the world anymore. A little repetitive at times, seeming to wish to include/credit evryone who opend their doors to his inquiry, but enjoyable .Felt like I was sitting college classroom with one of my dynamic professors.
