This is not a history of money (currency) but rather attempts to be a complete financial history, and so is really an economic history of Europe and the Western World.
Yes, it is fascinating to know how the advent of credit and financial innovation revolutionized Europe and the New World and is the "back story" of most of Western World History since the 1300s. However, I think the book is mis-titled, and does not explore the non-Euro-centric world in any revealing way.
This is a 10/10. This is the standard by which I measure every other audible purchase. A truly great book with a pitch-perfect reading. Unsurpassed.
Wonderful, fascinating, enlightening. Brilliantly read. A few boring parts (to my mind) that required wading through, but this is in my personal audible download hall of fame.
This should really be filed under Business, not General Interest. Plus, if you consume any media whatsoever, I think this is very old news. Finally, the reader sounds as if he's addressing a kindergarten class. I couldn't take it.
