In the second book of the Star Force series, Kyle Riggs has another bad year. The Nano ships have a new mission--one that sentences their pilots to death. Meanwhile, the governments of Earth want to steal Star Force's Nano technology for their own. Worst of all, Earth has made a promise to the Macros, and the machines are coming to collect.

    Story
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Where to start? The main character and his girlfriend are ridiculous. So many holes in the story as others have said. I rolled my eyes so many times and guessed the outcomes before they happened. Not because I am awesome, because this story is so simple, predictable and boring. There is such opportunity with the basic premiss of the story. Such a cool idea that BV Larson kills with his ridiculous know everything do everything main character. Definitely a stereotypical 1950's male fantasy come true. This is not the kind of SCI-FI I like. I trudged through two of these books hoping for something to change because I love the premiss. No luck. I realize I am in the minority with this review, and I really can't understand how so many people loved this series so much.

Would you ever listen to anything by B. V. Larson again?

    Probably not.
