This is a good romance story where both of the main characters seems to think they know what they do and do not want. Believing that they are the masters of their own hearts until nature takes control and shows them something's in life can't be controlled .
I enjoyed this story very much. I loved the modern day spend on vampires. Its a touching story filled with the right amount of back story to unlock the make up of the main characters to show how or what made them into who they are today. I look forward to reading book 2.
A very good story. I enjoyed the story, the characters and overall flow. Jonas the main character will steel your heart. His is truly an alpha male. Rachel his mate is a bit much. I found myself at times frustrated with her character but overall they are a good match once she comes to her senses.
Ms. Feehan has done it again. Proving that good things come to those who wait. The aunt's stories so far are worth the wait from what they endured and the males chosen to stand with them. You will not be disappointed and it is filled with a sense of the community and a society that is thriving and rebuilding.
If you have ever had a crash then you will understand Jamie's feeling in this book. You will also be able to relate to how a person can be so caught up in their day to day life and their job; how you can miss what should be obvious in front of you. Dante will touch your heart with his absolute determination to help Jamie and her wolf rather than throw her out on her own to try and survive. This book has the right amount of twist, turns and unexpected dips to keep you listening.
Great 3rd installment in the Kings series. The 3rd book fills in more of the missing puzzle pieces of the overall story, building the anticipation for the next king and queen book. It does leave you trying to fill in the missing pieces as to what could possibly be going to happen in the next book as the attacks on the Kings and Queens continues to grow and become more and more dangerous with each book. As with the other books you will be left with a wanting for the next book to keep going to see how it all plays out. Worth the credit or the cash to purchase.
Christine has done it again. As the story unfolds and bits and pieces of Remi's background were revealed in "Savage Nature" the previous book in the series; you come to understand that Remi met his mate when she was but a child and his protective nature as always come out around her. Blu, as Remi calls her is a child who never really knew love or experienced it. Her father was a Rock Star and his life style was not one conducive to that of raising a yound child. Especially a female child without a mother. You will enjoy the story and the unveiling of their romance as the story unfolds.
If you are not familiar with the worth of Ms. Walden then her writing style my be a little different for you as it was to me. But now after reading her second book in the series I understand her she writes and the follow of her material. The first book now clicks more solidly into place and I am truly anticipating the next book.
This is the first in the series of the 13 kings but I felt like to much information was packed into this story. It gives you information on characters, such as who they are and quite a bit of their history not to be mention again in the story. Which I found a bit hard to decipher as well as follow. The story to me seemed to deal more with the kings then them finding their queens. In this first installment I found it hard to believe that the Vampire Kings' queen had any real feelings for him other than gratitude by the time he transformed and claimed her. I mean when he abducted her he was trying to explain what he was and trying to get her past her fears then when they are reunited the author wants me to believe she loves him and nothing else has happened between them other than him rescuing her from a mad vampire. Once you get past a lot of additional character history and you can follow along with the story overall I'll say is good. To me it felt like the story was rushed and overstuffed with details that should have appeared in some of the books to come. Some of the information felt a little out of place. I will continue with the next book to see how it all comes together and I'm hopeful that the next book won't read and feel as if the author rushed the story line.
The overall story was okay and it had its funny moments, but somewhere along the way the story lost or never picked up something. I'm not sure which, it left a lot to be desired. I truly expected more and kept waiting and waiting but it never came. Like I said overall it was an okay book. The story ends up being more about avenging old debts and enemies. It also has some of the most cheesy lines you have ever heard. If you ever watched old, old black and white Dracula movies then you know exactly what I mean, but the writer wants you to believe this is happening in modern times. Can't have it both ways.
This book is a wonderful start to a new series. The various characters that are introduced in the story while it unfolds and how their puzzle pieces are linked though time gives you just enough to anticipate the next book. This story opens with action right from the start with a passion and love that quickly develops in the midst of all the madness. Very good read, if you have to put it down you will be looking for a good stopping point each time.
