I do not consider it to be better, though the narrator is excellent, the story remains the same. However, it is as good and having read the book already served as a great way to revisit the story. I lover Parkers Southern drawl.
The way that everything wrapped up nicely for each character in the end.
Sam and Sookie at his trailer.
This whole series is wonderfully entertaining, the stories are great fun, the characters interesting and often hilarious and the narrator is great. I've read all the books and am gradually revisiting them all via audio. So sad this is the last new story, but looking forward to hearing all the rest over and over.
Fairly highly, its well read and is a good story. Made me want to hear the next in the series.
Zane of course!!
Completely. I hoped I'd figured out what was going on pretty early in the story, but wasn't completely sure, I just wanted to know that everything would end the way that I wanted it too. I really bought into the story and the characters.
Yes, this is teen fiction, its a great story and well worth a listen if you like paranormal romance type novels.
I loved the performances of all stars in this production. James McAvoy was perfect. The way this story was performed transported me straight into Neverwhere which I was very happy to rediscover. It was even better then I'd hoped and remembered.
Old New York and coffee. This was really a very light hearted story, but the underlying information about the role of coffee in peoples lives and the importance of its preparation was very interesting.
I Craved coffee. Had to make coffee runs.
This is the kind of story that sucks you in and entertains. Perfect for a rainy afternoon.
Never got around to the print version which is why I chose the audible version, The audible version is fantastic though!
Its scope. There was so much to this story, it isn't one thing or the other really. There is something here to appeal to everyone I think. I also loved its upbeat feeling. This is a not a story about being beaten.
It has taken me a long time to get around to this book. I am so pleased I finally got around to it. I jut couldn't stop listening.
Yes because Luke Daniels is such a good performer.
Oberon of course, he's funny and its great to hear a dog's thoughts.
Sorry, Oberon again.
This series always makes me laugh out loud and that's why I love them.
I love this series, yes some of the books don't have such good storylines as others, but overall they are fab and a great way to escape from the real world. They are such fun to listen to and I can't wait for the next installment. I never want this series to end!
I can't say I loved anything. The pace was pretty good and the storyline kept me mostly engaged although it felt like other stories of its type and not at all original. There was nothing to love.
The Nosferatu Scrolls.
The accents were appalling which made any parts of the story not involving Americans hard to stomach. Couldn't figure out why the British MI5 agent sometimes sounded slightly Scottish, other times Irish and then slipped into Dick Van Dyke cockney from time to time. This was the same for the Lancaster accent, ARRRGGHHH! The Spanish accents were off too.
This is a light Adventure story, fairly well paced, but a bit too interwoven in places and lacking something, I went with the flow and was entertained though annoyed by the narrators accents. I was surprised not to like the main character more, in fact, there aren't any really strong or likeable characters in this book. Perhaps that's what is missing?
I like the characters as I have all the way through the books, especially Macon and Link. Sadly though, even with the wonderful light relief of Link, this book was just too depressing. I want to escape into this kind of story, not be depressed.
I need chocolate and a glass of wine as now I'm depressed!
After Link Kills Abraham.
The same stars as the Beautiful Creatures Movie, but this shouldn't be made into Movie, again, I want an escape when I go to the Movies.
I loved the promise of this series and enjoyed the first two books, but the last two were just way to serious. The over all tone was too dark and depressing, there was too much death and sadness for me. I had to know what it was all about so finished the series, but in the end it was still sad and also an awful lot to get to a fairly weak conclusion.
I always listen to books while doing other things, so yes.
I'm not sure that I would. The characters just aren't strong enough, they don't make you care for them and the story is missing something.
Her squeaky voice, yuck.
This book seemed to have all the right ingredients, but in the end fell short of my expectations. It was ok, but I don't care enough about the characters or the story to try the next one.
Its fairy Tale like quality.
I had to get to the end of this book in order to find what on earth it was all about. I enjoyed the various twists and turns through time and the Fairy Tale quality of the story. However, having made it through to the end via a meandering tale, I felt somewhat dissatisfied. Overall the book was too long, it needed to get to the point and the modern day stuff was just a bit annoying and seemed slightly off kilter. The main character is hard to like and I'm not sure she was worth the time spent getting to know her especially as it was really only during two brief interludes of a very long life. A weird one, I'm not sure if I liked it or not.
The fact that it was fast paced, and I didn't feel like I'd read the story before.
The excitement and the small town feel.
No extreme reaction. This is a good story though.
I was thoroughly entertained by this book and wanted to know what was going to happen right the way through. Definitely going to continue with this series. Pleased to have found this author.
