It’s a homecoming, of sorts, for Jayné Heller - and she wants some long-awaited answers to her past, in this fifth book in the acclaimed Black Sun’s Daughter urban fantasy series. After years on her own, Jayné Heller is going home to find some answers. How did the powerful spirit calling itself the Black Sun get into her body? Who was her uncle Eric, and what was the grand plan to which he devoted his life? Who did her mother have an affair with, and why? And the tattoo - seriously - what was that about?

Homicide detective Angela Keen thrives on the city’s rough streets. But when she becomes the prize of all prizes in the dragon-shifter world, due to her “high-energy” status, she gets more than she bargained for. Kidnapped by Lothair of the Razorback clan, Angela barely survives captivity before managing to escape. Hurt and alone with nowhere to hide, she faces certain death when Lothair uses the trace energy she leaves in her wake to hunt her down. But before he can reach her, a mystery dragon-shifter intervenes and saves Angela’s life.

What disappointed you about Fury of Ice?

Uninspiring. The relationship between the hero and heroine didn't have chemistry. Her writing with slang trying to mimic Black Dagger Brotherhood was just annoying and painful. She also has some similarities to the Lara Adrian series Midnight Breed.

I rather liked the first book -thought it a good mindless adventure. This book- I couldn't get through the first part.Didn't even finish listening to it.

Would you ever listen to anything by Coreene Callahan again?

Probably not. I didn't like her writing style.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fury of Ice?

I would have her rewrite it. Characters are all monotone and 2 dimensional. Dialog- unbelievable and uninteresting
