Finally a decent Narrator and a great story.
The Depth of the Characters and twists and turns I didn't see coming.
He has a very mellow, soothing voice and didn't pretend to sound female by reading in a high pitched voice.
I was sorry it ended the way it did. It seemed rather sudden considering the depth of the Characters. The first few chapters are a bit confusing but it levels out and it is a great story.
The beginning of the story showed some potential, but it fell quickly into a mediocre very common story of an unhappy Woman who decides to take drugs. There was little to no character development. Her Rehab experience is boring and could have been gathered from any reality show. The Author tries to add depth by giving Dad Alzheimers and Mom a secret. Even that is typical.
very capable Narrator
Yes. I love his books.
Yes. He is a good, solid Narrator
This was very short and I was disappointed that it seemed to be a preview
Yes. Great writing and the Actors were awesome.
It is a play so I cannot really compare.
Well worth the money
The Narrator had a terrible high nasal voice and did a terrible job of changing character voices.
I enjoy this Author. This book had a good premise but wandered around a bit too much. Nothing was really happening for most of it.
I wouldn't listen to another book he narrated.
Yes. The Plot twisted around and got slow in parts, but when it sped it up it was compelling.
The Narration was terrible. The Narrators for Annie and Vivica were difficult to listen to. Annie had a sing song cadence and seemed to end each sentence with a question. Vivica sounded like Lovey on Gilligans Island.
The Reader spends quite a lot of time waiting for things to happen and the themes are fairly typical in the end
Yes. The various characters read by different Actors was awesome
Bringing back a Classic with a modern reading
I wish they would do more of this style of reading. The Cast was wonderful.
I wouldn't recommend this if you are a casual listener as I am and cannot listen everyday. I found it confusing and hard to follow. Wolfe uses a lot of descriptions and social commentary which may have been easier to grasp reading the actual book.
Average. Somewhat Monotone.
Yes I would. It tied up most of the loose ends from Cold Vengeance. There were a couple of parts that dragged slightly, but nothing that took away from the story. Pendergast is one of the best characters in modern fiction as far as I am concerned. This is worth a read
He is the best Narrator I have heard. He has a great talent for accents.
I am a huge fan and this was the best of their books.
The timeline was very well done. A lot was covered and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I am not easily impressed. This is a winner.
The ending was amazing
