Phil Gish has always felt like a luck-forsaken little guy who never got a break. But he awakes one morning to overwhelming optimism and hope. The thing that brings him joy is the sudden appearance of a green cat that has jumped through the window of his tiny bachelor apartment. He decides to adopt the cat and names it Lucky. But Lucky has other plans, and the cat disappears from Phil's place as quickly as it jumped in.

Would you listen to The Green Millennium again? Why?

Yes, a childhood favorite. I was delighted to see this available in audio format. I have read the book more than once and will again because of the good story. It has some unexpected twists and turns. It is very much a Golden Age version equivalent to the works of Neil Gaimen

What did you like best about this story?

Quirky, Weird, Different, yet still something you can relate to.

What does William Coon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A good although not great narration. Cannot complain about the narration. Although he certainly cannot compare with the likes of Jim Dale

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughed many a time, smiled often. The book is light hearted to say the least.

    Any additional comments?

I genuinely recommend for fan of Golden Age Science Fiction or Neil Gaimans works.

Maurice Leblanc, a writer of detective fiction during the same period as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, created Arsene Lupin, a sort of French Robin Hood. An inventive genius, a master of disguise, and an accomplished actor, Lupin operates in the choice chateaux and salons. He scorns sham and with great disdain leaves his card in a baron's residence. The card reads, "Arsene Lupin, gentleman-burglar, will return when the furniture is genuine."

Would you listen to Arsene Lupin, Gentleman Burglar again? Why?

An old favorite. I first encountered the character when watching dubbed versions of the old 70's TV series. The story is humorous and constantly takes a poke at Sherlock Holmes. It epitomizes the friendly rivalry between France and England. A light-hearted story with a cleaver plot line that reminiscent of older adult version of an Artemis Fowl adventure. Arsene Lupin is a loveable anti-hero.

What other book might you compare Arsene Lupin, Gentleman Burglar to and why?

A french parody of the Sherlock Holmes adventure. Also similar to Artemis Fowl as the lead character is an anti-hero that you constantly root for, albeit without the fantasy element.

What does Walter Covell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Brilliant narration. The french accent makes you feel as if you are there. A plain English accent would have spoiled the book

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Funny, a story that will make you smile and laugh and laugh again

    Any additional comments?

    Charming and delightful!
