As a walking advertisement for the tattoo shop she's set up in a small Wyoming town, India Ellison is well acquainted with preconceived notions. Despite the odd looks, life is good. She's clean and sober, dotes on her sister's kids, and best of all, spends most of her free time with her best buddy, Colt McKay. Reformed bad boy Colt never expected three years of sobriety to lead to three years of abstinence. Curbing his craving for booze and random sexual encounters, however, is nothing compared to the ever-increasing craving for his hot-tempered, hot-bodied best friend, India.

I really like LJ's books, this one, however, was not the best. I loved Indie and Colt and glad they finally got together but the storyline is really, really weak. Also, it ended so abruptly it almost startled me. The sex was hot, sorta, the arguments between the two tedious, and there could have been much more to the story.

I believe the best part, at least my favorite, was when Colt's dad found him at his fishing hole & talked to him and the brothers came to see him. This story did make me want to "hear" what happened with Cam, he's got to be next. Hope Audible sees fit to get the audio version.

Nic Wilkinson is a responsible, organized, disciplined rugby player at the top of his game. Emma Martens is a sometimes-scattered, often-emotional, and always-broke would-be designer with a big chip on her shoulder where Nic's concerned. They have no history together, except one perfect week. Nothing in common anymore, except the most important thing of all. Getting together again would be messy. Complicated. Scary. And, just maybe, worth every risk.

The storyline was a bit predictable after Nick and Emma see each other again, but RJ does an outstanding job of portraying feelings and sentiment. Claire Bocking's narration/performance, better put, gets more amazing with each story. If she is ever replaced as the performer of RJ's books it will be a shame and betrayal.

I loved that Nick was soft, gentle, considerate and kind as are all of the New Zealand Rugby players as depicted by the author; not at all a "big-headed famous sports player, like a lot of american football players seem to be.

Nonetheless, I really liked the story and could listen to the accent and the words Kiwi's use for different things. Please give us the rest of the series.

I wasn't sure at first if this book actually deserved any kind of review but after giving some thought to it I realized that if I could save someone the time it takes to return it to Audible after spending precious dollars or credits on it then it was time well spent in writing the review.

This book, in my opinion, has absolutely no redeeming qualities. I have read/listened to many MC books; most of which were raw, gritty, containing group sex, orgies, bad guys, worse guys, club whores, (well, you get the picture), but all had someone, most times, the H/H that had some heart, kindness and concern. The hero, and I use the term loosely, in this book was, simply put, an uncaring, heartless creep. Granted, I must admit, I did not finish the book as I didn't want to spend my time in doing so, but I just couldn't after listening to the 9 1/2 chapters and 4 hours and then going back and reading the reviews of those who did finish. I love a good hardcore MC story, but come on Ms. Begley. I'm not sure what you were trying to portray or say but I just don't get it. I get a "mean to the shy & different girl when she was a teen, vibe", yuck. This author is a definite "no go" any further for me.

Life has been harsh, but after a horrible childhood, Park was finally content with her life. Her beautiful home sat on the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles, she had her dream job, and good friends she trusted. Then she's abducted, car-jacked by a stunningly sexy man who she realizes is dangerously crazy - he thinks he's a vampire. Park plays along until she can escape, until she discovers that there are things out there people like her never knew existed.

I thought the story was pretty good and really liked the new "take" on the vampire/paranormal world. That said it took awhile, actually a long while to get to a point at which I wasn't tempted to put an end to listening - the narration was not awful, but it wasn't great either. It sounds to me like LS has the potential to be a good narrator, but it definitely sounded like she was reading instead performing. The different accents were pretty good, I'll give her that

Wow, I couldn't believe the abrupt ending - not even an epilogue or hint of an ending; was a bit startling. Sure glad book 2 was out when I started listening to book 1 or I might have run screaming from the room (actually I was in my car) with a vow never to listen to this author again.

Overall I gave the book 3 stars - with a better narration I certainly would have pushed it to 4.

Ten years after disappearing from Antietam, Maryland, the bad boy has come home. Cleaned up and successful now - though still dangerously good-looking - Rafe MacKade sets the town on fire…and tongues wagging. Not even lovely newcomer Regan Bishop is immune to his charms. Though Regan claims to not want to get involved with a rebel, Rafe's pretty sure that her reaction to their sizzling kisses suggests otherwise.

I enjoyed getting to know the MacKade brothers, their ghosts and the battle of Antietam. I am somewhat of a history buff and knew nothing about this northern most battle. The brothers' stories which incorporate the battle make me want to take a vacation.

Rafe's story was great as was Regan's "intrusion" into it. Now that we've met the brothers, can't wait to hear how their lives are changed by a "good woman".

There's no place like home... For teacher Jenna McKnight, nothing spells "heartbreak" like finding her husband with somebody else--in her bed. It's clearly time to reinvent herself. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, she's done just that. The beautiful Auckland villa isn't really her home, though. Finn Douglas and his kids aren't really her family, however much she wishes they were. And playing house can be a dangerous game. Rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny and housekeeper. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can't resist Jenna's cooking, it's true. Who knew he'd have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what's right for his kids. But waiting is so hard... Note: This romance, like New Zealand, contains a bit of steam. If that isn't your cuppa, maybe visit some other country... er, audiobook.

Kate Lamonica isn't Koti James' type. Too small. Too dark. And heaps too much work. So it's an easy bet that he can be her friend for six weeks without making a move on her, no matter what his mates would have said. Kate can't believe she's made the bet at all. New Zealand had seemed like the perfect escape from the stalker who'd threatened first her peace of mind and then her life. She certainly doesn't need any more trouble. Why on earth has she agreed to spend time with a Maori rugby player who's far too handsome and charming for his own good - and knows it?

Everyone needs to be rescued sometimes. Everyone but Hannah Montgomery, that is. She just needs a vacation. Three weeks in New Zealand to sort out her life, figure out what she wants, seems just right. Oh, and to relax. She should definitely put that on the agenda. She certainly isn't looking for a fling with a professional rugby player, no matter how attractive he is. Hannah doesn't do casual. But maybe just this once.…

I had never heard of this author or narrator before this series, both were amazing. CB's accent was spot-on. I really enjoyed the H & H, background characters and looking forward to their upcoming stories. My tastes run to a bit more on the steamy romance side but the accent of the men kinda made up for this a bit. Hope Audible continues to pick up the rest of the books, beyond #3 as I'm truly a fan.

This was my first for this author and male narrator. I know I like an author's writing when I check to see what other books Audible offers or I go to the author's website to see what's coming next. In looking back through Audible to see what else is offered by this author I noticed that ratings weren't very high, not sure why, but gonna find out. Hope this is not a "one hit wonder".

I enjoyed the suspense, drama, twists, turns, heroine and hero and all the background characters. I liked that the book was a little different than those I typically listen to and that this is truly a "romantic suspense" even though somewhat light on the romance. I would have liked more steamy romance but all and all I was glad to spend the credit.

I also always enjoy Tanya Eby's narration and now same goes for Alexander Cendese.

I thought this was the best of the Colorado Mountain series. I absolutely fell in love with both Ty and Lexi, both strong characters. The story had most of everything I enjoy in a good listen; drama, suspense, bad guys, really bad guys, really good guy, good and loyal friends, and somewhat explicit sex. I think KA could have done better in the sex department, describing it in more intimate, glasses steaming detail, but it was all right. I liked that most of the good guys from previous books in this series were still an important part of this one and I also liked that new characters were introduced. But, above all, the strong H/H did it for me, especially Lexi. I don't like to listen to a story where the heroine is "mamby-pamby", indecisive, co-dependent and not her own person. Lexi was none of these; she was strong, "through sass" and determined, yet nurturing.

Can't wait until the next in the series - Breathe; just hope it's as captivating as this one.

I like the premise of this series, so far, but the narration just might keep me from continuing with it. The narration is stilted and in some parts I could not separate different individual's portion of a conversation, most males sounded the same and female voices were ridiculous. I don't believe GJ was the best person for the narration of this series as there are so many different voices that need to be differentiated. It really is too bad.

As for the storyline, I believe, after having listened to Book #1 also, that it is getting better and character development, however slow, is also getting better. I don't like, though, that the villain (Gabriel) is the star of the show and is much more described that anyone else.

I love werewolves, suspense, drama, etc. but I think HK-W needs to step up her game.
