But when they are dumped in the English countryside, fish out of water, with five young children between them, they discover a shared hatred of ghastly ladies' lunches and a longing for the mucky London streets and residents' parking permits they've left behind. If you could sum up Goodbye, Jimmy Choo in three words, what would they be?

    None this stime

What character would you cut from Deep?

Can you ever really know if love is true? And if it is, should you stop at anything to get it? Two decades ago, Erin Edwards was sure she’d already found the love of her life: Nate Lawson. Her first love. The one with whom she shared everything--dreams of the future, of children, plans for forever. The one she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. Until one terrible night when Erin made a mistake Nate could not forgive and left her to mourn the relationship she could never forget or get over.

Would you try another book from Beth Harbison and/or Orlagh Cassidy?

I have read other books by the author and enjoyed them a lot. That is why I chose this one.

What was most disappointing about Beth Harbison’s story?

The heroine just kept repeating the same story over and over of lamenting her lost love as a teen.

Have you listened to any of Orlagh Cassidy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I dont know if I heard her before

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Always Something There to Remind Me?

The story became whiney after so many repeated glimpses back at her old boyfriends actions and words and her longingness for him. I would have cut that in half.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

If you like books where the male lead knows everything and has to teach the obviously stupid heroine everything, then this is the book for you

Would you ever listen to anything by Kristen Ashley again?

Yes, she has written far better books, I like the Rock Chick series. Those are way more engaging.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The scenes that revolved around the boy they were trying to help

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Breathe?

I would cut all the dialog when she said "Yes Chase" it was so irritating. Also I would cut all the dialog where he lectured her because he knew everything. Outdated and boring

    Any additional comments?

I liked the premise of the story.

    F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel of the Roaring Twenties is beloved by generations of readers and stands as his crowning work. This new audio edition, authorized by the Fitzgerald estate, is narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain). Gyllenhaal's performance is a faithful delivery in the voice of Nick Carraway, the Midwesterner turned New York bond salesman, who rents a small house next door to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby....

Would you consider the audio edition of The Great Gatsby to be better than the print version?

I did not read the book, but remember seeing the movie with Mia Farrow.
I thoroughly enjoyed the audio version

What other book might you compare The Great Gatsby to and why?

I would consider the Great Gatsby as contemporary today as when it was written in the 1920's. I would loosely compare it to the book The Help. As in society not accepting outsiders, but the Great Gatsby story unfolds in the opposite manner--at first you think Gatsby is accepted by all, society all too gladly attended his weekend parties, invited or not-but abandoned him completely when he could not defend himself.

What does Jake Gyllenhaal bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    He was a great narrator

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Among Ash heaps and millionaires

    Any additional comments?

I was facinated by the book

Eddie Huang is the 30-year-old proprietor of Baohaus - the hot East Village hangout where foodies, stoners, and students come to stuff their faces with delicious Taiwanese street food late into the night - and one of the food world’s brightest and most controversial young stars. But before he created the perfect home for himself in a small patch of downtown New York, Eddie wandered the American wilderness looking for a place to call his own. Funny, raw, and moving, and told in an irrepressibly alive and original voice, Fresh Off the Boat recasts the immigrant’s story for the 21st century.

Would you listen to Fresh Off the Boat again? Why?

I think I got it all the first time, the story revealed much about his life growing up as a 1st and 2nd generation contemporary Chinese family living and working in Florida. Loved all the food references. One of my favorite parts was when he was at a friends house and the mom served food that he described as gray and slimy and brought out his gag reflex. It was tuna and mac n cheese!

Would you listen to Star Island again? Why?

No, I but I recall parts of it in my head a lot, and laugh.

What did you like best about this story?

Same as what I like about all of Carl Hiaasen's works. He takes quirky to the extraordinary status as he brings down the greedy, powerful players that rule and have a hand in destroying South Florida. His characters are always over the top and outrageous. Always a good read!

    Which scene was your favorite?

Any scene with "The governor" in it!! And the druggie pop star's mother, the things she said and did! I'm sure that character came from real life. Never mind the bodyguard with the mini saw on his stubbed arm! Or the tabloid photographer who baited the waters with chum tied to cinder block waiting for that perfect shot of a shark and a swimmer!!

If you could rename Star Island, what would you call it?

    The Governator of South Florida

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

There was nothing new in this story, just a rehash of formula romance. In a word, boring!

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something more contempory, like from THIS century. I'm liking Elin Hilderbrand lately.

What three words best describe Christina Traister’s voice?

    Narrator was fine, likeable.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from After Tex?

Oh geez, maybe the part where the heroine plays a mega successful morning show replica of Martha Stewart and she does not cook or do crafts? Plus she runs a magazine of the same? I remember Diann Cannon doing the same in a movie from the '70's.

Long before he starred on some of television’s most beloved and long-running series such as Taxi and Who’s the Boss? and went on to distinguish himself in a variety of film and stage roles, Tony Danza was a walking contradiction: an indifferent student who dreamed of being a teacher. Inspiring a classroom of students was an aspiration he put aside for decades until one day it seemed that the most meaningful thing he could do was give his dream a shot. What followed was a year spent teaching 10th-grade English at Northeast High - Philadelphia’s largest high school with 3,600 students....

If you could sum up I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had in three words, what would they be?

    Genuine, caring, & human.

What other book might you compare I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had to and why?

I don't think I have read anything like it. I could compare it to reality tv, which what Mr Danza was actually doing with his students and writing about in this book. The series was called "Teach". I have not been able to find the series to watch. Comparing it on a reality tv basis, this was far better and real.

What about Tony Danza’s performance did you like?

He came across as very ernest and his students meant the world to him.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes, it was very entertaining.

    Any additional comments?

Loved the lunchtime half sandwich club!
