Read the cliff notes to this book to fully appreciate the themes that feel like superfluous description
Very well written, interesting seeing the monarchy and that time period from a "bystander" perspective
Laugh out loud, thought provoking, fun accents for his characters which makes it better to listen to than read. As with the Report, it isn't meant to be concrete fact, getting the laugh is the first priority.
It felt like a slow start but the humanity that it brings to what it was like during and after WWII includes stories of humor, heart break, and twists.
Examples were helpful and explanation was succinct
