They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

Great book! Steven Weber narrates the story just right. Don't take my word for it, buy the book, you won't be sorry :o)

When he’s awake, George Bailey is just an ordinary man. Five days a week he coaxes his old Hyundai to life, curses the Los Angeles traffic, and clocks in at his job as a handyman at the local college. But when he sleeps, George dreams of something more. George dreams of flying. He dreams of fighting monsters. He dreams of a man made of pure lightning, an armored robot, a giant in an army uniform, a beautiful woman who moves like a ninja.

What did you like best about Ex-Purgatory? What did you like least?

This book was a let down compared to the previous 3. The story is mediocre at best and the fact that there's only one narrator doing all the voices (unlike the previous 3 books which had 4 narrators) really hurts the performance. The characters are great, that's why I'll read the next book in this series (if Peter Clines writes another one) but I really hope the writer does a better job.

How could the performance have been better?

Bring back all the old narrators.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Good on paper. Not sure about film.

    Any additional comments?

Peter Clines is a great writer. It's just this one book that kinda sucks. But if you like the previous books in this series you should definitely try "14" from the same author.
