Sparks does it again with a story you can't put down until you find out what happens. As you read the book you start to care a lot about the people in the story and what happens to them. There is excitement, mystery, and romance (without the trash).
This is the best book I have read (listen to) for a long time. It really touches the heart.
If you like a good story, you will like this book. If you like inspirational stories, you will like this book. And, if you like a story with believable characters, you will like this book.
You never are sure what was going to happen.
I have not particularly been interested in history but after reading this book I had to look up what happen the historical characters in the book.
This book really draws you into the time and place. It depicts what life was like and reminds one of how good we have it in the USA.
Touch of truth
The Department Q books are a bit gruesome for me but I have been drawn into the characters. The development of the characters is the most interesting part of the book. In the end... but I don't want to give away the ending!
The Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte Mysteries are unique.
I was transported into a world that is so different from my own. Upfield makes the world seem so real. The characters are so believable. The solution to the mystery makes total sense once you know it, however, I bet you can't guess who did it!
I don't have the Print version.
This is a light mystery that keeps ones interest.
I love the Psychic Eye Mysteries.
I never read the print version so I have no idea. I love the audio version.
The story flows and keeps your interest. The writing is superb. Abby is a person one would like to know. The characters come alive and you start to care about them.
I love her interaction with Dutch.
I will be listening to the whole series, it is a winner!
The reality of the book. Most people want to be good, but there are some that simply don't care and will do whatever it takes to get what they want. There is something wrong with their brains (or soul). It is important to recognize the "takers" and stay away from them.
This book takes you into the time between the 1st World War and the 2nd World War and then into the 2nd World War. However, this is not a war book. The book puts you into the life in Florence through the eyes and experiences of an orphan. There is also the mystery of where Rose came from that is slowly reveled through the book. This is a great read and I very much enjoyed it!
It was clear and understandable the portion I listened to.
This book is a book of fantasy. I personally don't like fantasy. I didn't listen to much of the book. If you like fantasy, then you might like this book.
If you love politics, you will love this book. If not, it is very interesting anyway. The book gives insight into the life of one of the main characters that created our country (USA) and some of the other folks also. Especially interesting was the his wife. As ancestors go, I am proud to have them as part of mine.
