This is ear candy! A fun lighthearted look into the fantastical life of witches. Deborah Geary does a wonderful job of creating fun, loveable, and energetic characters. Be ready to smile through the whole series.
Amazingly the most insightful self help book I have read in a long time! Funny, thought provoking, and real. Finally the answers to the questions I inevitably have after reading a "spiritual" book. How do I apply this in my life?
S.J. Tucker is a true performer. Every character was brought to life with his or her own nuances. Truly an enjoyable listen.
Odd Thomas with his childish innocence and uncanny ability to surprise you with his "knowing." Observing him from a distance you would think him simple minded, but once you got to know him you understood his compassion, his drive for justice, and the matter of fact way that he accepts his gift. Dean Koontz crafts a character who simply takes the next indicated step because it's there to be taken, despite the danger, despite the terror, or the mediocrity surrounding him. As you listen to the audiobook you are drawn into his reality. A terrifying world of evil, evil not stemming from the supernatural realm, but from the a society anesthetized to violence.
The truth of everyday life. A fictional story so real I couldn't help but relate to every character. I found myself questioning how I would have reacted to the rape and the actions of every person affected. Life often has no reason, people don't know why they do what they do. This book follows each member of the family without trying to find out "why", we simply are challenged to accept what is. So often in life we never get the answer to the why, yet we live and react, and keep going. That is what made this book so real to me. We didn't delve into the psyche of each character; they were our neighbors, an acquaintance, a distant relative. We stood on the outside and wept for them, raged for them, laughed for them, and ultimately cheered for them. Why? Because they survived.
There were several moments when I wanted to shout at Marianne, you are smart, you are beautiful, you do deserve the praise you are given. So broken she was by her family's actions, real honest actions, that I could empathise with her doubts.
An eye and mind opening book. How easily we sabotage our lives with excuses. Wayne does a great job of helping the reader eliminate excuses for not living in harmony with our higher being. Excellent book!
Learning to honestly be interested in what people want, simple yet powerful. I find myself asking that question in both my personal and professional life. Truly timeless advise.
The lessons are simple yet so powerful. If we all applied these principles in our lives the world would be a better place.
I'm learning to love everyone for who they are not what they do, an unconditional love with no expectations or demands.
Thank you Marci!
I love Sookie Stackhouse! A truly delightful rambunctious down to earth kind of woman! Full of flaws and sexy and pleasantly annoying.
I love Johanna's performance! A true multifaceted performer who portrays every nuance to perfection.
This book opened my eyes to the amazing possibility of true happiness! I have recommended and will continue to recommend this audio book to all of my friends.
I loved listening to the story of the grieving mother. How true it is that often we feel that we are the only ones suffering.
Mr. Cutler adds a level of connection to his Holiness that I would not have experienced reading the book. His questions and his tone brought the experiences to life.
