Skipping back and forth between reviewers was jarring. Luke Daniels had better lines to read than Angela Dawe, but she did not read particularly well.
The Author should have developed the characters better at the beginning to hold the listener interest.
No I would not. Find another Harlan Coben
The story line was fairly good, but the author should have fleshed out Jack so that we could morn him. i generally like Harlen Coben books. I will probably try another Coben in the future. this one just did nto measure up
The Art world which featured so prominently in previously was absent in this novel.
Added more suspense. The end was very predictable
the war criminal was not very believable.
The narrative about the world of art restoration is interesting and informative, set inside a well managed story. It is an education for the reader, who like myself knows little about that world.
this book is the first Silva novel I have heard. It has an excellent story line with lots of turns and subplots.
The old woman who tells of the future is in this and other Silva books.
I have heard George Guidall's readings previously and always like the low key of his readings
I have discovered that one can choose any of the series without missing out on the whole story line. I plan to listen to the whole series.
good story line and characters
the governesses death was touching
I have been reading Archers books for 15 years and will continue to read as long as new books come available.
yes, there are twists and turns that keep the reader interested. The ending left me a little let down. This is one of the earlier in the series and the overall story seems fresh.
Mr. Roberts is a very lively narrator. His many voices seem true to life and add interest
You bet, Kellerman always delivers a good story
Robin was more involved this time, although she did not sound like the Robin of previous stories, I liked her
Alex is the quintessential therapist, albeit with a dangerous penchant for getting himself into tight spots. I trust Kellerman to bring him thru so can enjoy the suspense.
A must read
When the prosecutor showed up at the prison to let Rusty know he was going to be released.
Turow writes as one who knows the human heart in all it's various forms.
As someone who who has heard or read Scott Turows' other novels, I was expecting a better story. The narration was poorly done and did not seem to mesh with the story. The narrator of previous books did a much better job. The story itself had a fair plot, but was not up to Turow standards. I was easy to figure the various twists and switches that were supposed to keep the reader spellbound but did not.
Turow should stick to his former cast and and formula; it is a winner.
Any one of the other narrators who have read Turows' other books.
Evans' girlfriend. She adds nothing to the story, and not because of her sexual orientation.
i would like to return it, but have recently returned another book I did not like, and do not want to make this a practice.
I could not guess the next moment. Not at all predictable. This author reminds me of
I recommend this book and would welcome future titles by this author
