Romantic mystery at its best. Excellent historical novel. This is the first novel I have read from this author but it won't be the last.
This author took on a very complicated project that included several important issues that in themselves would be difficult to write about and do it well. Ms. Flaherty has done this brilliantly.
She has created strong characters who experience challenges and face them with humor as well as bravery.
A book that could have been depressing is in fact extremely entertaining.
I highly recommend this one.
Can't say whether the story had any value because the narrator's maple sirup voice and the overwhelming amount of useless information kept putting me to sleep. I do not recommend this book.
Even on sale it isn't, worth it. The prologue cheats the reader into thinking the book will be worth reading. It isn't
Way to much fantasy ruins what might have been a good story. Take the Santa Clause out of it and it would be worth reading.
The mixture of mystery and suspense in this love story makes for a great book full of surprises and an interesting finish. Excellent finish to an excellent series.
No book is perfect, but this one comes close. In the first 10 minutes it had me hooked. One weakness in lots of these books is the 'love interest' comes at the beginning and the story goes from there. That doesn't happen here and it adds interest. Great book.
