The definitive work on Stalin's purges, The Great Terror was universally acclaimed when it first appeared in 1968. While the original volume had relied heavily on unofficial sources, later developments within the Soviet Union provided an avalanche of new material, which Conquest has mined to write this revised and updated edition of his classic work.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

History buff with a bit of insomnia- Great content best left to read it without the narration.

Did Frederick Davidson do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

No- cross between a British butler and a robot

What character would you cut from The Great Terror?

    N/A

    Any additional comments?

Content is fascinating however, the narration is painful to listen to.
I love the brits -but having a monotone British Butler as the narrator is just dreadful

The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

    Love the Mitch Rapp series!

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

Couldn't ask for a better narrator for Vince's books

    Any additional comments?

    Love all of Vince's books

In this riveting personal account, an authentic American hero relives the perils and triumphs of eight harrowing patrols aboard one of America's most successful World War II submarines. Courageous deeds and terror-filled moments - as well as the endless hard work of maintaining and operating a combat sub - are vividly recalled in Calvert's candid portrait.

Where does Silent Running rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Reminds me of some of the stories from my grandfather who was on the Ray in WW2
