The title is over simplifying the content. This book can revolutionize yoru whole life if you are ready (or sick and tired of being anxious) to apply it. It's techniques are simple, and yet can be added to or incorporated into any system of belief, including Christianity, to help one to take charge of old lies about ones worth, performance, and ability to stay in the present. And as stated, if all you need is help with text anxiety, it's like abc's... it's so simple, thorough, and quick to implement and see real lasting results, yet profound and brilliant.

A River Runs Through It is a universal story of family love and a lyrical masterpiece, as beautiful as the great trout rivers of western Montana upon which it is set. Its beauty is especially evident through the "near-perfect match" of reader Ivan Doig and author Norman MacLean.

    "Sorry, bad book"
    Overall

The narrator is boring. The book is not really well written. I was expecting to find much better work, considering the movie, but this is a case where I'm kind of stunned, yet elated, that Robert Redford found teh book interesting. I believe he saw teh heart of the message, and the potential for a lavishly visual and rich storey, but that doesn't mean teh book is any fun to listen to. The poetic passages are confusing, and not inspiring, and the general flow of teh storey is boring and choppy and just bad.

I love audiobooks, seriously consider not buying this book.

  • The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Kate DiCamillo takes us on an extraordinary journey, from the depths of the ocean to the net of a fisherman, from the top of a garbage heap to the fireside of a hoboes' camp, from the bedside of an ailing child to the bustling streets of Memphis. And along the way, we are shown a true miracle, that even a heart of the most breakable kind can learn to love, to lose, and to love again.

The story is fun, warm, cathartic, emotionally healing. It opened my heart even more than it already is by considerable trials in life. It is emotionally honest to the point of being painful, but moves along conclusively toward truth, reality and healing. The pain is healing. IT'S FUN. Like the bible, this book has more emotional depth, acuity, and life application than anything I've ever read. I will treasure it and share it with everyone I know. You will disdain, pity, dislike, identify with, cry for, mourn with, and love the very typical and yet charming and unusual Edward Tulane.
