Thanks to an elderly spinster sleuth and her ingenious cat, Christopher Holmes has enjoyed a celebrated career as a bestselling mystery writer. Until now. Sales are down and his new editor is allergic to geriatric gumshoes. On the advice of his agent, he reinvents his fortyish, frumpy, recently dumped self into the sleek, sexy image of a literary lion, and heads for a Northern California writers conference to try and resurrect his career.

    Any additional comments?

I also bought it in the recent BOGO sale. The description in the pop up should have listed the "gay erotic content" notice. I didn't care for the book before I got to the "gay erotic content". Boring and long winded.

The tongue-in-cheek humor created by the author is perfectly matched by the reader. The heroine's view of life is enjoyably refreshing. The book is not laced with profanity, or explicit sex. I found myself entertained from the start to the unexpected ending. I hope the combination of author and reader continue for more audiobooks.
