What made the experience of listening to Listening Is an Act of Love the most enjoyable?

I think this is one of my favorite books, the real stories of normal people are very easy to listen to but they show how diverse people really are.

Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time® burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, listeners have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over 40 million copies in over 32 languages. When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork.

"My name is Kvothe. I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep...."

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

There are so many thing that I could recommend so I will narrow it to two. First the magic system is amazingly well thought out while not being the main part of the story, what I mean is when he gets to the arcanum it seems as natural as kids going to college. You will love everthing about the university, even the thing that make you mad. Second, this is not the normal the heroic knight saves the princess story. If you want that this is not for you. The story has heart. this story will make you laugh, cry and get mad at Kvothe(the story is his life's story). The story is amazingly compelling.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kvothe is brave and a coward. He is smart and stupid, he is larger than life but can also hide in obscurity..let's skip to he is very complex. You will be moved by him...one way or another.

What does Nick Podehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is the person that should have done these books...his voice fits very well.

    Any additional comments?

I have recommended this book to my freinds..I only do this for special books. Books I have recomended are the mistborn series, Way of kings, Wheel of time and Theft of Swords series.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

If you could sum up The Way of Kings in three words, what would they be?

    I want stormlight

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Way of Kings?

The first bridge run..you will see what I mean

Have you listened to any of Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Awsome as usal for these two

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but that would have been impossible...what I will say is it made me look forward to hitting the treadmill. If you knew me that would make you run screaming to the store and get this.

    Any additional comments?

I want to stop Brandon Sanderson from writing anything but this series, he needs to hurry up with the next book.

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

Would you listen to A Dance with Dragons again? Why?

Are you kidding sure I would, I felt as though I needed to listen to this book every free second. I do say as a warning that if you are expecting huge wars and everything to come together in epic conclusion, this is not your book. This book goes into great detail to set up the next book. I will say don't forget that you should never fall in love with a person in these books because you will eventually see them killed.

What did you like best about this story?

I really liked the Jon and Tyrion chapters

    Any additional comments?

I sure hope the next book give more Arya chapters than this one did. I could also do without some of the other characters that have been added as filler people.

Where does Agincourt rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best

What other book might you compare Agincourt to and why?

It is as good a game of thrones but a very different writing style, If one story was all told at once say Jon Snow's chapters put together to make a single book.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Any of the battle's

Who was the most memorable character of Agincourt and why?

    Nick Hook--this is his story.
