  • Styxx: Dark-Hunter, Book 22

    • UNABRIDGED (31 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Sherrilyn Kenyon
    • Narrated By Fred Berman

Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge. As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

    C. Mendez says: "Stick with it..."
    "To much abuse."
What would have made Styxx better?

Less abuse of children would have made the story better. I know its only a book but, I had to skip alot of the story.

What could Sherrilyn Kenyon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Less abuse, more love story and more conflict resolution between Styxx and Ash.

How could the performance have been better?

A different performer would have been better, all of his voices sound the same. If you don't listen carefully you won't know which character is speaking.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It had a happy end for the brothers and their mates. And we now know why they hated each other so much.

    Any additional comments?

I love the Dark Hunter series and I look forward to the next book.

  • Inferno: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 12 mins)
    • By Dan Brown
    • Narrated By Paul Michael
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology, Robert Langdon, is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces: Dante’s Inferno. Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust...before the world is irrevocably altered.

Cidney says: "I Guess Dan Brown Never Read “Children of Men”..."
    "I was bored."
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who likes Dan Brown's long boring stories.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dan Brown again?

Everyone was telling me how great a writer Dan Brown is and and I should read his new book. I did and I will never read another.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator was fine, I even liked his voice.

What character would you cut from Inferno?

I would cut them all out and burn the manuscript.

    Any additional comments?

I haven't read his other books, maybe it was just this one.
