While I enjoyed part one and two in the series, in this book I was extremely annoyed with the repeating description of Stella's stubborness and her hurt feelings. Instead of creating a more intense listening experience, the author got me more and more annoyed and I fast forwarded the rest of the book.
I am not sure if I will read the other books, for now I am a bit tired of this. Pity. It felt to me as if the author was pushed to do this, it doesn't fit the book.
Any time, actually the new book, Tricked, is supposed to be release april 24 this year.He is witty, funny, a bit matcho and warm at heart. The characters are deep and juicy, the plot surprising and the ideas outrageous.
Getting into my car, sipping a bit of hot tea and turning on the radio anticipating Luke Daniel's voice (the narrator).
Hard to say, the frost giants getting all excited about the goddess Freya or the main characters sitting at a fire trying to male-bond with stories why they hate the god Thor.
Absolutely not. This is like a fine wine that you want to spread out lovingly over some period of time.
Cant wait for Tricked.Oh yeah, the comments of Oberon, the dog, are just outrageous.
A must read if you want to understand the deeper workings of our society. We all benefit of the actions of a few that we would never support if given the choice.
Great British humour! Every passage inescapably leading to the next funny passage.
Easygoing read. Characters are very well developed!
...with a nice peace of philosophy and human awareness thrown in for good measure.
This is one of the good things about Cards literature: he stays himself human and thoughtful, he creates good characters and plots rather than seeking the thrill of great cruelty or fear to come to a climax.
Splendid realism, but thrilling and entertaining.
The characters stay human and believable.
It is insightful into maritime army life.
Very entertaining and interesting. Reads like a thriller.
You will learn a lot about diving and high sea boat riding.
Like always, Card gives you just that extra twist and loving detail that makes your brain whistle with the depth and love poured into his stories....
Well, now I know why people do abridgements!! This book is so full of unimportant non-essential parts, that is a bore for many hours.
Not too bad for the ideas though....
Outstanding because of ideas, characters and vision!!
Actually, I don?t have to add much to my first line, only, maybe, that this is a true since fiction: not only a display of futuristic worlds and science, but also of visionary ideas about human behaviour and psyche. It is for this that I can say: I thoroughly enjoyed this listening experience. Intelligent, warm hearted, well plotted !! Way to go !!!!
