It's summer in Memphis. The sweat is sticking to Rudy Baylor's shirt and creditors are nipping at his heels. Once he had aspirations of breezing through law school and punching his ticket to the good life. Now he doesn't have a joy or a prayer...except for one: an insurance dispute that leaves a family devastated and opens the door for a lawsuit, if Rudy can find a way to file it.

Another review mentions the poor production quality and I have to agree. Clearly no quality control on this--there is a strange reference to "continued on disk 8" and several sentences repeat. To Audible's credit, this is the only experience I've had with subpar production.

Still an entertaining listen for fans of courtroom dramas, though Frank Muller seems like an odd choice to voice the young lawyer. I recommend it, but wish it had been edited better.

The Goldfinch is a haunted odyssey through present-day America and a drama of enthralling force and acuity. It begins with a boy. Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, miraculously survives an accident that kills his mother. Abandoned by his father, Theo is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

Simply put, David Pittu's narration is the best I've ever heard. Anyone who says "oh, I just can't pay attention to audiobooks" will be proven wrong by his masterful reading. And Tartt's writing is rich, wonderful, and highly compelling.

Even though it's incredibly long, I'm sad it's over! This was a truly great listen.

We see Bob Fosse's legacy everywhere - from Broadway to "Billy Jean" to Beyoncé's moves in the "Single Ladies" video. Yet in spite of Fosse'sdeep cultural significance, no biography has ever brought him fully to life, unveiling the man behind the bowler hat and the swaggering sex appeal.

Based on hundreds of interviews with the people who lived the story, Game Change is a reportorial tour de force that reads like a fast-paced novel. Character driven and dialogue rich, replete with extravagantly detailed scenes, this is the occasion-ally shocking, often hilarious, ultimately definitive account of the campaign of a lifetime.

Downloaded this for a long road trip I was taking with my wife. We enjoyed the story, as we always do with Stephen King, but the performance John Slattery gives had sustained our interest for the full trip. This was a great download. Recommended!
