When Earth herself lay under siege by an enemy humankind could not defeat, mankind undertook one last throw of the dice: Operation Ark. Earth's final colonizing expedition was meant to build a new civilization, on a planet so distant even the Gbaba might never find it, and without the high-tech infrastructure whose emissions might betray its location.

When reading about the story it sounded great. But I couldn't get through it. It almost put me to sleep it was so slow. I love a little history, but this was way over the top. I couldn't get through the last chapter, I gave up.

With one sniff, sex researcher Leigh Fromm recognizes that any offspring she might have with the mysterious stranger would have a better-than-average chance of surviving any number of impending pandemics. But when Leigh finds out that the handsome "someone" at her great aunt's wake is Prince Roman Habsburg von Lorraine of Austria, she suddenly doubts her instincts - not that she was intending to sleep with the guy.

I loved the story and can't wait to get started on the second book. I just didn't like the reader. Her voice was so high pitch at times I though about turning it off. Great story if you can handle the high notes.

This is by far one of the best Nora Roberts stories. It had more mystery then most, but still a wonderful love story. I was hooked from the start.

The story starts off as the typical historical romance, which I like. Then it takes an unexpected turn. I spent the rest of the story wondering if anyone else would understand what was wrong with the Duke. Great story!

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.
