Performance was fine.
I don't care for this type of book. I thought it was going to be a mystery.
Don't get this book unless you're into a LOT of technical detail about piloting a jet. Blehhhh.
They may be far between, but I so enjoy a good Tess Monaghan! My only complaint was being sorry it was over. :(
This would be a great book to listen to on a family car trip!
Flavian is really enjoyable, I might have to purchase and listen to the next one right away.
This was a gripping book! I kept wondering what all the fuss was about, it is well worth your listening credit!
I kept thinking I had it figured out, then more was revealed.
I did figure out who the killer was, but still thoroughly enjoyed the story! I liked it being set in the not-too-distant past as well. Surprised me that it brought back so many little memory details for me.
I suppose it can't be helped, after so many books in a series like this. It was fairly predictable. I did enjoy the story in spite of that, and Lauren Fortgang is always great.
Sorry, the reader is not at fault. This was just not well-written. Dialogue was terrible.
I guess I have to agree with the other reviews I saw. This definitely didn't live up to the potential of the first book. So disappointing.
I'm not sure when this book was originally published, but after watching True Detective recently, could not get Matthew McConnaghey out of my mind as the lead character. He would be great casting, Hollywood! Excellent story, good twists. Slightly predictable in some ways, but I didn't mind.
Always fully-fleshed out characters, a great storyline, and satisfying--if not exactly happily ever after--definitely a well-thought-out ending.
I thought several times that I knew where the plot was going, then it took a twist. I was very happy with the ending, I didn't see it ahead of time, but it was quite satisfying.
