After a sad and neglected childhood as an orphan, Jane Eyre was hired by Edward Rochester as governess for his ward. Jane was pleased with the quiet country life at Thornfield, with the beautiful old manor house and gardens, with the book-filled library, and with her own comfortable room. But there were stories of a strange tenant, a woman who laughed like a maniac, and who stayed in rooms on the third floor.

What a wonderful romance and a fantastic narrator. I found myself impatient with the main character several times and would like to have reached out and knocked some sense into her, only to find out she had it right all along. That just proves how the author had me totally involved with the characters in the book. This is a true romantic novel, so if you aren't into that it won't be for you, but if you are this is a must listen to.

Folksy and fresh, endearing and affecting, Fried Green Here is the now-classic novel of two women in the 1980s; of gray-headed Mrs. Threadgoode telling her life story to Evelyn, who is in the sad slump of middle age. The tale she tells is also of two women - of the irrepressibly daredevilish tomboy Idgie and her friend Ruth - who back in the thirties ran a little place in Whistle Stop, Alabama, a Southern kind of Cafe Wobegon offering good barbecue and good coffee and all kinds of love and laughter, even an occasional murder.

This book is better than the movie and that's saying something since the movie was wonderful. Well worth a credit spent.

  • A Wolf at the Table: A Memoir of My Father

A Wolf at the Table is the story of Augusten's relationship with his father, John Robison, Sr., a man only briefly touched upon in Running With Scissors. Told with shocking honesty and penetrating insight, A Wolf at the Table is more than the companion volume to Running with Scissors - it's a story of stunning psychological cruelty and the redemptive power of hope.

    "Bad, bad, nothing but bad"
    Overall

This book was nothing but bad narration and horrible cruelty to animals. It was awful! The story drags and has weird music inserted in odd areas of the book that made no sense. Oh yeah, and did I mention the BAD narration?

Award-winning author Craig Johnson's critically acclaimed debut Western mystery takes listeners to the breathtaking mountains of Wyoming for a tale of cold-blooded vengeance. Four high-school boys were given suspended sentences for raping a Cheyenne girl. Now, two of the boys have been killed, and only Sheriff Walt Longmire can keep the other two safe.

"Glad i didn't miss this one"
    Overall

I loved this book and was disappointed when it ended. I wanted more and more by this author and Guidall. As soon as I finished it I went looking and bought the other 3 this combo has on Audible. Being from Wyoming I could relate to so much of the setting and characters. The best part of the book is the relationship between Walt and Henry. You just can't beat their sense of humor and how they relate to each other. I loved every thing about this book.
