Alex and Conner Bailey's world is about to change, in this fast-paced adventure that uniquely combines our modern day world with the enchanting realm of classic fairytales. The Land of Stories tells the tale of twins Alex and Conner. Through the mysterious powers of a cherished book of stories, they leave their world behind and find themselves in a foreign land full of wonder and magic where they come face-to-face with the fairy tale characters they grew up reading about.

Naomi says: "Delightful! Entertaining! And beautifully written!"
"Great story, Narrator was not as advertised"

What did you love best about The Land of Stories?

I thought the storyline was awesome. I love reading/listening to a twist on traditional fairy tales.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't really have a favorite characters. Although the storyline is great, the characters fell flat for me. They were one dimensional.

Would you be willing to try another one of Chris Colfer’s performances?

Unless Chris is a woman in disguise, he did NOT narrate this story! The narrator, whoever she was, was too flat and boring to me. She read too fast (even at 1x speed she was still quite fast and that was annoying). Also, all her character voices sounded the same. To be honest, I quit listening to her and went back to reading the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't really have an extreme reaction but I will say that the writing style annoyed the heck out of me. Some things just didn't make sense. For example he wrote that a character was "beaming with sympathy". Okay, to beam is to smile and if you are smiling, then how are you showing sympathy? There were many sections in the book written this way. I heard the authors writing great improved in the next book. I can only hope this is true!

    Any additional comments?

Please inform people of the true narrator. I would love to hear Chris Colfer narrate
