When she arrives at the hall, shaken by an unsettling disturbance that occurred during her travels, she is greeted by the two children now in her care, Isabella and Eustace. There is no adult present to represent her mysterious employer, and the children offer no explanation. Later that night in her room, another terrifying experience further reinforces the sense that something is very wrong. From the moment Eliza rises the following morning, her every step seems dogged by a malign presence that lives within Gaudlin's walls.

Would you consider the audio edition of This House Is Haunted to be better than the print version?

I do this the audio version is better. The narrators english accent and abilities to change voices/accents for each character really brought this story to life.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the trip back in time, also loved the great detail. it really brought the story to life.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favourite scene was when Eliza takes her trip with the children into london. It really made you feel sympathy for the well being of the children. And not to mention all the creepy haunting parts! but cant give away to much!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A guilt-stricken young woman finds herself as a caregiver for 2 children at an estate that has more to hide then anyone could have ever assumed.

    Any additional comments?

I just really hope everyone listens to this book and falls in love with it the way i did.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Where does The Help rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have personally bought around 250 audio books and this book tops all! It was a complete master piece. I usually dont even listen to this kind of book, but found myself completely absorbed.

What did you like best about this story?

Everything from the voices to the real candid events. The whole story was so well researched and the plot was amazing. i loved taking a step into the characters lives.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrators really brought so much life to the story. I love the accents. i think possibly the voices help you keep track of which chapter is which character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I almost did! in 2 days I listened to the whole book. My husband was laughing at me, as i started talking with a southern accent!

    Any additional comments?

I just cant express enough how truly amazing this book it. It make me cry laugh and think about it long after it was over. It is different from the movie which made it a real treat. No movie can do justice to the book but, just wow. this book is worth the full price of credit i already want to re-start it! THANKS AUDIBLE!

Fifteen-year-old Jeff wakes up on New Year's Day to find himself in the hospital. Make that the psychiatric ward. With the nut jobs. Clearly, this is all a huge mistake. Forget about the bandages on his wrists and the notes on his chart. Forget about his problems with his best friend, Allie, and her boyfriend, Burke. Jeff's perfectly fine, perfectly normal, not like the other kids in the hospital with him. Now they've got problems.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I would say. the beginning really held my attention but the dramatic twists took me to a un-organic place. It almost felt like the author choose those twists uncomfortably.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

    That would be spoiling it!

What three words best describe Joe Caron’s performance?

He was very good and he did really do a good job at pulling you in. he has a very easy voice to listen too.

Do you think Suicide Notes needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes. It would be nice to see how the main character used what he learned about himself in the real world.

    Any additional comments?

worth the credit. I think this is a great book for those struggling with their sexuality.

Siler House has stood silent beneath Savannah’s moss-draped oaks for decades. Notoriously haunted, it has remained empty until college-bound Jess Perry and three of her peers gather to take part in a month-long study on the paranormal. Able to talk to ghosts, Jess quickly bonds with her fellow test subjects, who have their own “gifts.” One is possessed. Another just wants to forget. The third is a guy who knows how to turn up the August heat, not to mention Jess’s heart rate…when he’s not resurrecting the dead.

Would you try another book from Michelle Muto and/or Tavia Gilbert?

No, the story seemed incomplete and they make twists that dont seem organic to the situations occurring.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I tend to only stick to haunting books. So i will be re-listening to the demonologist!

How could the performance have been better?

It was okay but you could sense through the narrator she was having a hard time with the story line.

What character would you cut from The Haunting Season?

    Both Boys

    Any additional comments?

I feel like this book might be for some. I would defiantly say if your an experienced ghost book listener dont waste your credit on this one.

The entity! - Along with its scary moments i truly enjoyed the humorous moments comuicated.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that moved me was their opinions on all the people they had come through. When dealing with a haunting people are desperate for everyones opinions. I love how the characters were able to call bull-^%$ on a few!

Emma Putnam is dead, and it's all Sara Wharton's fault. At least, that's what everyone seems to think. Sara, along with her best friend and three other classmates, has been criminally charged for the bullying and harassment that led to Emma's shocking suicide. Now Sara is the one who's ostracized, already guilty according to her peers, the community, and the media. During the summer before her senior year, in between meetings with lawyers and a court-recommended therapist, Sara is forced to reflect on the events that brought her to this moment - and ultimately consider her role in an undeniable tragedy.

What made the experience of listening to Tease the most enjoyable?

It really told the other side of the story. Headlines always make the "bully" out to be a monster. It was amazing to step back and sympathize with Sarah. Also the narrator really ran with this and made for a real easy listening experiance.

What other book might you compare Tease to and why?

I would compare 13 reasons why and hold still. 13 reasons why is a book about tapes left behind by a girl who took her life. explaining why she did so. It also lets you see into the other side of the story. Hold still is about a journal left behind by ingrid helping her best friend understand why she could not go on. both these books are available on audible and are my top picks

Which character – as performed by Julia Whelan – was your favorite?

Sarah the main character. She shows how scared and strong she can be taking all one step at a time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I almost did! the only reason I took a break was because I didn't want it to be over yet! Cant wait to listen again

Absolutely the stories are so well detailed and give you real insights to the situations and people involved.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gothic Ghosts?

I dont want to give any spoilers. but truly every story has a great moment with all the research involved.

Which character – as performed by Jim Tedder – was your favorite?

I love when he narrates the females I feel a lot of men have a hard time "feeling out" a woman's emotions through words. he was spot on.

This is not the first late-night call they have received, since her mother and father have an uncommon occupation: helping "haunted souls" find peace. And yet something in Sylvie senses that this call is different from the others, especially when they are lured to the old church on the outskirts of town.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If the story stuck closer to the plot and didn't throw so many people and situations into the plot. It was just a mix of to many things. Also don't take the word " haunting" to seriously in this book.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

it wrapped up nicely. But I feel it should have ended a different way that would have made more sense.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Emma Galvin?

I actually tried this book just because she was the author. I adore she voice and narration. I think it was the only things that kept me to the end of this book.
