  • These Few Precious Days: The Final Year of Jack with Jackie

    Story

They were the original power couple - outlandishly rich, impossibly attractive, and endlessly fascinating. Now, in this rare, behind-the-scenes portrait of the Kennedys in their final year together, NewYork Times best-selling biographer Christopher Andersen shows us a side of JFK and Jackie we’ve never seen before. Tender, intimate, complex, and, at times, explosive, theirs is a love story unlike any other - filled with secrets, scandals, and bombshells that could never be fully revealed…until now.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The entire book was about all of JFK's many women and how Jackie handled it. How many women can you name in one book. Maybe it was a gossip book for those who knew those people but boring to the rest of us.

What could Christopher Andersen have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It needed something, but not sure what.

Have you listened to any of Robertson Dean’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but the performance was fine.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment, boredom

New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber and award-winning novelist Eric Pete team up to deliver the first in a much-anticipated new trilogy. The Family Business features two times the heat, two times the fun, and two times the drama as the members of an unforgettable family (not to mention their lovers and hangers-on) find their way in and out of trouble. As their many fans will attest, Weber and Pete share a talent for penning juicy fiction that their audience can’t get enough of.

NONE... couldn't even get to the end, which was probably the good part.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I am not sure who would enjoy this. I was waiting for a twist, a plot, some excitment and it was so dissapointing.

Would you ever listen to anything by John Grisham again?

Yes, but I'd have to really read other readers comments. I rely heavily on them

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narration was fine with what he had to work with.

    Any additional comments?

A real dud for a mystery novel.

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.
