I just love the journey that Dan Millman takes us on with his books, I like the simplicity of his communication and more importantly the impact of his words. They're not "out there" like others in his field, his work is simple and congruent with this world I am living in!
So far I like the series, boy can Diana write, its amazing that she captures you as a listener for such a long time
I don't think you can compare this books to other series, and that's why I like it, its quiet unique, well researched and well written
I actually like how she captures the Scottish accent so much so that you don't realise that it really is a women's voice
Definitely not Dragonfly in Amber, and there is no point giving it another name as it will remain as this title anyway
I'm just downloading book 3 and see there are another 5 to go, it really makes me wonder how my attention will be captured for so long
David Rocks NLP, I guess they both cover how you make connections which lead to the decisions you make
Can recall exactly
No, as you want to absorb some of what you have read
Great book, hope she writes another
I don't tend to listen to books twice, but I would buy the second one as the first was good enough to draw me back to the author
It was a very different read from my "normal" and it was not predictable
Not necessarily as it didn't keep you griped to your seat, and hey, its not a bad place to be, addicted to a book is not good for family relationships :)
No, it was a poor story actually, it finished leaving the reader up in the air. I hate this kind of endings
No, and I wouldn't get the DVD out to watch either
Not at all!
Mark Greaney is a compelling author, he really knows how to write a book that keeps you guessing how its going to turn out, right until the very end of the book
That's what so good about this book, there wasn't just one memorable moment in the book, there were many of them
I listened to it in 2 days, fortunately I was on the road for one of them, and the good thing about these types of books, is that you keep busy doing things while you are listening
Cant help myself, I have just bought the 3rd book in the series, I am sure I wont be disappointed!
Audible, you are sneaky here, I loved Mark's book so much I wanted to know if he had written more, and it was then that I discovered he had a series of these books, so yes, I have purchased another one. So if nothing else, have to say, what a great way to introduce readers to a captivating author, well done, and thank you Audible :)
Some how he just seemed to get out of the trouble he was always finding himself in
Great Narrator, I have to say a book can be made or broken on the narrator, so I really appreciate when someone like Jay is the front man for such an important role
Yes, but couldn't physically do this, mind you, great story to keep me on that un-motivating task of house work :)
Have to say I am looking forward to book no.2
I simply find listening a whole lot easier than reading, as I can undertake tasks at the same time, so there is no guilt associated with this pleasure
How can you compare anything Malcolm Gladwell writes to anyone else, his style is quiet unique and is so well researched, you cant but see him as a "prophet" in his writing style
Every bit of the journey of learning he takes you through in his book
What surprised me most of all was the research into smaller vrs bigger class sizes
Not at all, in fact, I didn't even finish listening to this one
The book I am listening to simply labelled "Just Listen" a whole lot more value than this book
Elanor Rooservelt comment still prevails "No one make you feel inferior without your consent" You have to have a thought, about something before you can have an emotion to it, which is in direct opposition to Brene's thoughts.
The book kept you engaged in the story right until the end
Yes it did, because of so many twists and turns
The main character, all through the book you never knew who she really was, and of course, the story didn't end with the damsel falling in love and following the hero
Not knowing how it was going to end
Cant really say, there was a favourite, he did a great job overall
No, just that it was good enough to write about and share with other people, although this format does not really give you that opportunity.
You wont regret taking the time to read or listen to this book, he is definitely a writer I will look for more books he may have or will write in the future. Great imagination is all I can say. As the book was a "freebie" for me, I wasn't all that motivated to listen to it, but it was so good, my house and garden got cleaned :)
