The Corrections is a grandly entertaining novel for the new century--a comic, tragic masterpiece about a family breaking down in an age of easy fixes. After almost 50 years as a wife and mother, Enid Lambert is ready to have some fun. Unfortunately, her husband, Alfred, is losing his sanity to Parkinson's disease, and their children have long since flown the family nest to the catastrophes of their own lives. Enid has set her heart on an elusive goal: bringing her family together for one last Christmas at home.

Would you try another book from Jonathan Franzen and/or George Guidall?

George Guidall is a good reader, but does not always bring the voices to life. I will never attempt to read another Jonathan Franzen book.

Has The Corrections turned you off from other books in this genre?

It has turned me off from this author.

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

    He speaks clearly and steadily.

    Any additional comments?

These people are pathetic and their pitiful mind machinations just made me tired. Even jumping ahead when the though garbage bogged me down did not save it for me.

From the internationally best-selling author of Kane and Abel and A Prisoner of Birth comes Only Time Will Tell, the first in an ambitious new series that tells the story of one family across generations, across oceans, from heartbreak to triumph. The epic tale of Harry Clifton’s life begins in 1920, with the words "I was told that my father was killed in the war"....

    C. Johnson says: "Standard Archer "class-clash". Stellar narration!!"
    "Great story well told."

    Well developed characters, engaging, entertaining.

Which character – as performed by Roger Allam and Emilia Fox – was your favorite?

Old Jack was great and Maizie was terrific as well.

    Any additional comments?

I love family histories and the development of them. Really enjoyed this book. Am definitely getting the rest in the series.

Dellarobia Turnbow is a restless farm wife who gave up her own plans when she accidentally became pregnant at 17. Now, after a decade of domestic disharmony on a failing farm, she encounters a shocking sight: a silent, forested valley filled with what looks like a lake of fire. She can only understand it as a cautionary miracle, but it sparks a raft of other explanations from scientists, religious leaders, and the media.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book should be required reading for everyone. Her descriptions are great and her portrayal of East Tennessee life is spot on.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Flight Behavior?

Kingsolver often speaks profound truths couched in casual conversation. I am looking for a printed version of this book so I can underline those sections as I did in her book, Poisonwood Bible.

What does Barbara Kingsolver bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I was pleased with how she handled the voices and accents. Very professional.

    Any additional comments?

Can we send Sarah Palin a copy? She might be able to understand climate change then.
