Loved this story for the obvious reasons...romance, history, past vs. present...it's all there. In my humble opinion, this is the perfect recipe for a great AUDIObook: lots of great stories out there, but the narrator makes this awesome! (So many narrators today are annoying and just plain bad! They over-enunciate and are flat and boring.) Ms. Srinivasan really brings this to life.
Same old story. Everyone is either in love with Scarpetta or out to get her. I mean, really? But the worst part of this audiobook is the narrator. She absolutely ruins the book. She
sounds like a robot...a bored robot, if that's possible. She has to e-nun-ci-ate e-ve-ry syl-la-ble. Total snooze-fest!!
This book was so bad...how many times can you weave the same sex acts in the same way between 5 couples in one book?? I expected some of this, but soooo laughable! Some one needs to tell Jackie Collins that a 13 year old prepubescent boy has hacked her identity and written this book! And the female narrators were terrible - Jackie sounds like she has a mouthful of marbles!
This story was just so absurd and so painfully ridiculous, I couldn't stand listening to it! The characters are just as stupid...sooo unrealistic!
I'm giving up on James Patterson...he's a total sell-out.
Only read this book if you want to be frustrated, bored and depressed!
I really loved this book...obviously...everyone loved it!? The narrators really made this book come alive. I've listened to hundreds of audiobooks, and this is by far the best match of story with narrators. I so wish the Audiobook publishers could learn a lesson from this - too many good books are ruined by bad narrators!
