Nationally best-selling author Gwynne Forster is a storyteller of rare power and grace. When Twilight Comes is the story of Marge Hairston and her three loving children. After Marge's husband dies, she is left to raise the children on her own. Marge perseveres and goes on to bring The Woodmore Times notoriety as North Carolina's premier African American newspaper. But when she becomes seriously ill, her children must take over the newspaper and their mother's legacy.

I really loved the story line because it exposed the truth of sibling rivalry when it comes to money! I especially like "Marge" because with love she did not cater to her childrens selfishness and yet without malice she rewarded the deserving one. Also, I admired how she accepted death with grace and dignity. She reminds me alot of myself with my relationship with my children........ I never sugarcoat anything! As for the narrator, I can listen to anything Caroline Clay reads........... she is my favorite!

I really liked the story line and how Ms. Griggs weaves everything together so well. I have fell in love with Johnnie Mae and Pastor Landris! I truly like how all of Ms. Griggs books are linked together with the various characters flowing from one to the other. I look forward to each new book! Also, I think Ms. Clay is the perfect narrator for Ms. Griggs books!

Vanessa Davis Griggs combines Terry McMillan sass and Jan Karon spirituality in the second part of her moving Blessed Trinity trilogy about a congregation striving to gain Heaven while struggling with earthly concerns. Pastor George Landris has a monumental mandate for his flock. He wants them to cast off their strongholds (i.e., their weaknesses), and this sets off a flurry of soul-searching and repentance with humorous and poignant results.

Motivational speaker and best-selling author Vanessa Davis Griggs pens moving tales that mix the stylings of Jan Karon and Terry McMillan. Faith Alexandria Morrell and her two sisters guard a dark secret. Needing direction, they join a local megachurch, where they meet people with problems of their own.

If you could sum up Blessed Trinity in three words, what would they be?

    God is good!!

What other book might you compare Blessed Trinity to and why?

Blessed Trinity is my first book by Vanessa Griggs and now I plan to get every one in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed her Godly characters, the story line and how they dealt with worldly problems by holding on to their faith. I must admit, I am hooked and will be purchasing anything she writes.

Have you listened to any of Caroline Clay’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am a newby to audible books but I thoroughly enjoyed Caroline's reading!

Who was the most memorable character of Blessed Trinity and why?

Johnnie Mae was the most memorable charactor for me because she was so well rounded and yet her center was grounded in God!

Where does The Upper Room rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    #3

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Upper Room?

    Ruby stealing Maureen.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Maureen finally being free!

If you could take any character from The Upper Room out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take Maureen to dinner just to give her a sense of independence and normalcy from Mama Ruby.

    Any additional comments?

I really hate that Mama Ruby turned out to be such a deadly character compared to her beginings as Ruby Jean in "Mama Ruby"!

In this stirring prequel, New York Times best-selling author Mary Monroe returns to the “cold-blooded yet fascinating” (Publishers Weekly) character from her acclaimed novel The Upper Room. Ruby is a wild youth, with a thirst for boys and booze by the age of 15. When she discovers she’s pregnant, the only person she can confide in is her best friend Othella. But Othella talks Ruby into giving up the child, leaving Ruby emotionally shattered and adamant that Othella is to blame for her loss.

I love Mary Monroe's writing. Her characters are very believable.....I can see them in my mind. Since I don't have time to sit and read anymore, I am really enjoying the convenience of audible books on my Kindle. While at work I just plug in the earphones and I'm transported into the story..... what a thrill!!
